The Nintendo news and discussion thread
Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I got into AC once on a holiday in Bordeaux which is a lovely place but not a lot to see or do besides hanging out. Sure enough, we hung and my wife read some books while I got really into the fishing and basically lived like a ghillie in a hut, fishing like fuck to make a living, sure, but for the love of the sport and the meditative unity with nature.
Did about thirty hours or something over the ten days.
Came home, unpacked, turned on the 3DS and was like...

Sell it man.
You’ll ‘make’ money.
What are you holding out for, a Mario game without a Joy Con control, or a Zelda game without ‘whatever’.
Dough to be made.

Amen! I went there when I was early 20s and it's stunning. I think we were just being a bit lazy.hazeredmist wrote: ↑February 1st, 2020, 8:50 pmAh man you were so close to the Dordogne with infinitely more interesting scenery and stuff to do! Beautiful part of the world.

Gonna give you guys a hack that's totally not ripped off from Hot Deals UK.
Order a Nintendo brochure off the store.nintendo site, use NINTENCAT to get it free. Use 10% off code in the back of it and get your animal crossing console for £289!

Nah, first trip was when I lived over there. I have known her since we were 16 though, just took about fifteen years off from being in touch!
Alex, good laugh.
Chase, great tip. I'm thinking of getting another one and hacking my launch Switch so I can play Dodonpachi and stuff on emu.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
We were great mates when we were younger (I.e. she didn't fancy me) and kind of kept in touch until I moved to China but we hadn't seen each other in probably a decade until a chance meeting. She asked me out, baked me some cookies, and I asked her to marry me not long after. This is the story of how I became a big fat bastard.
Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
That’s a brilliant idea.
Order amended and code used, saved me £32.

Pokemon Home is live now! The iOS app is very crash-y right now.

Warface, the F2P FPS is launching on Switch today.

I'm pretty interested as my eldest and I have been playing quite a lot of CoD mobile when he's over, online deathmatch. The mobile CoD is actually hugely fun and works really well. He also has a Switch so I'm going to give it a try later and hopefully it'll be our new game for a while.

Does anyone have experience with Nintendo of Europe and Joy-Con repair? I an't fully discern whether its an official practice or not and if so how it is done. My left joy-con is fast approaching making Super Mario Oddysey unplayable, but would also like an option that wouldn't put me back 90 euro for a new set of Joy-Cons (Come on, Nintendo!)

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I had almost given up on Luigi’s Mansion 3, after failing to gain traction in the single player due to controls and general apathy - until a mate asked to play scarescraper. Wow, that is fun, and rock solid online.
Cleared a few floors with many attempts but feeling like we were getting better each time. It’s got me hooked in and definitely interested in the game as a whole again, crucially the controls seem less of a hindrance now. Dipping in and out probably hasn’t helped, so I think it’s time to give this one a proper go. Very pleased, I was quite disheartened about it before as I waited a good long while for Christmas arriving to get it.
If anyone fancies the online multiplayer and is online around the 10-11pm time I would be game and should be able to get on now and again!

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
Right, I'm thinking I'm going to pick up Animal Crossing on Switch. I've never played an Animal Crossing game before and I'm not even sure what the game is exactly but people who like it REALLY like it. Can somebody explain why it's so good and what the core gameplay is?
