Looks ok vfm to me based on 83 hours to complete 100%.

My 10 year old autistic niece got Shield for Christmas and absolutely loves it (she has recently burned through four of the 3DS games on the bounce).

I'm not sure time to 100% complete for a Pokemon game is a particularly useful metric, since I assume that includes catching every Pokemon, which while fun, is well beyond the scope of what I'd consider normal post-game. That said, according to that link, Sword and Shield have the shortest completion times of any main game in the series in all 3 categories, and it's not very close.

The Witcher 3 on Switch to get 'significant update' soon. Sounds like it may make an impressive port run and look even better.

Some details on Pokemon Home

Not really surprising, but they continue to charge for things that should have been free in the base game. You can kind of use the trade features for free, but it costs $16/Year to store more than 30 Pokemon at a time, and obviously there's no where else to put your Pokemon that aren't in Sword and Shield.

I've only had a quick look, but that page suggests to me that the service is free, with an option to pay for premium features?

EDIT: Sorry, that's exactly what you said in your post, didn't read it properly! Hmm. Well, yeah, it doesn't seem great value and it's an odd direction for the series to go in after all these years. It's not like it doesn't already earn them millions.

Where the FillBabb is this Nintendo Direct then ?!?!

There is literally no rhyme reason or structure to these.

It’s simply out there when it’s ready to be. There’s a beauty to it in some ways.

I've played Temtem for about an hour and a half so far, too short to form any real opinion, but so far, it's pretty much exactly what it looks like, an MMO that's almost an exact mechanical copy of Pokemon. The only major difference is that all battles are 2v2, to facilitate co-op play.

I’ve justified my desire thus;

My launch Switch is still solid, apart from the battery, which lasts about two hours now on average.

My head was turned slightly by the new chipset model with more efficient power consumption but wasn’t really that encouraged by it.

News this morning that Nintendo do not plan to release another Switch revision this calendar year. (Mind, much like them saying that they won’t have any new hardware at E3 2019 then two weeks later announcing the Switch Lite).

I always planned to get two copies of the game.

One physical for my shelf and my Wife’s Switch Lite, then a digital copy for my Switch, so that I can dip in and out daily as you’re supposed to without having to change carts over all the time.

I want this bad 🤪🤪🤪.

The same as the other console specials.

Pokemon, Mario, Smash, Diablo, Splatoon, etc...

I expected nothing less sadly.

It's amazing really, no other company would have the audacity to keep the console at the same price as it was when it launched three entire years ago! I suppose if they can get away with it, why wouldn't they?

I listened to the Animal Crossing podcast recently and was dumbfounded to hear Darren Foreman on the panel! Surely the most unlikeliest of contributors for such a cute series!

On that note, did he move to a different podcast or is he still involved in game coverage? Always a very interesting guy and hilarious as well. What an extraordinary accent he has. What part of Scotland is he from?

Pre-orders up on Nintendo UK store for the Animal Crossing Switch + digital copy of the game.

£319.99 (free delivery).

Also, it seems CEX are excepting £225 trade in value on the launch grey boxed Switch.

I thought you we’re suggesting the Switch’s launch price was £198.50, not bragging about a deal.

I know, 😄, I had to make sure I’d entered the correct model as I thought it was too high.
