Videogame Deals
Re: Videogame Deals
Does that include the Spectre Of Torment expansion?
Re: Videogame Deals
Yup! It includes everything so far and will also include the fighting game and King Knight expansion coming soon.
Re: Videogame Deals
Epic Games Store are chopping a tenner off any game over £14. I picked up Hades for £5.49
Re: Videogame Deals
Cheers dezm0nd, finally signed up for the inevitable Satisfactory.
Re: Videogame Deals
Man, so it’s a tenner off every game purchased, not just a one-use coupon. Fortnite must be making them bottomless pits of money
Re: Videogame Deals
Well-regarded early access rogue lite Hades is on there for about 6 quid now
Re: Videogame Deals
Not at all, I’m on mobile so I couldn’t respond to the main thrust of your post so I was just poking fun and trying to catch you out.
Yeah, most of the naysayers I’ve seen so far have fallen into the moany ‘it’s not steam’ category; I’m aware there are potential real issues, techy and otherwise, but nothing that affects me too much. But yeah, I wasn’t really aware of the super-predatory stuff, that’s a good argument.

I'm not really in the know when it comes to PC gaming, but wasn't GoG viewed as a solid alternative to Steam not that long ago? I would assume that their no-DRM policy would prevent them from competing with other stores when it comes to the latest AAA titles. Are they still around?

For the next 11 hours, the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Classics bundle on Steam in $7.49. All 59 games.
Re: Videogame Deals
For PC people, Fanatical has Stellaris and all its DLC (apart from the most recent one) at 50% off - the deal has been going for a few days and I can't tell when it expires.
If you were buying fresh, you'd want Stellaris (EUR 9.99) and probably Utopia (EUR 9.99). Most of the other DLCs are EUR 4.99 after that. Been mulling them over myself but I can't really see myself going back to the game when I have an unplayed backlog, even with this much fresh content. Such a good price though, very tempting.
Something to note: Stellaris runs fine on laptops with integrated graphics cards, if you were curious about it but think you don't have the hardware to run it. Obvs you need to meet the other minimum specs, which are fairly low I think.

The well-regarded Skullgirls is €1.60 on Fanatical for the next 6 days - it's a Steam key and is the Complete version with all DLC.

Re: Videogame Deals
Thanks! And no, it's my third, actually.
If it makes you feel any better, I'm starting to struggle with the other two sometimes because I spend so much time thinking / writing in english these days. And also, writing is significantly easier than speaking without regular practice.
Re: Videogame Deals
I think most people on here have got the measure of you by now, clippa.
EDIT: That sounds far worse than I meant it! You know what I mean.

Re: Videogame Deals
Has anybody played Taiko No Tatsujin without the drum peripheral and is it still playable with button controller? It's on offer at Argos atm.
Re: Videogame Deals
No, but it sounds great! I used to love Donkey Konga on the GC.

Re: Videogame Deals
Yes and yes. It’s not ‘the same’ without the drum but it plays well (and is a lot quieter for those around you).
