Right - it's guessing time!

Everyone is allowed two picks, and we'll see who's right when the list is announced. If you can add some reasoning for your guesses, all the better.

My two guesses are:

Metroid series - it's currently one of the biggest glaring ommisions from the show. There's no way it'll never get done, and I think it might be next year.

Castlevania series - seems like the other likely choice. Epic is right, there are LOADS of games in the series.

Hmm, what do you think?
My bet is on Kingdom Hearts, now that III has finally been released. Beyond the time needed to actually play the games, I could see a spaced-out schedule being needed to simply digest them. A bimonthly binging of the entire series would result in a Xehanort overdose.

Other contenders beyond your picks could be Tomb Raider, pre-4 GTA, or Sonic, the latter of which could need spacing out for...other reasons.

I’ve had a sneak peek at the list and wow it is brave to do every single Pokemon game, even the spin offs! All in one year!

Ah, cool, is the list coming out via a podcast - sort of like a top 40 chart ??

When you say Christmas Eve do you mean tomorrow evening or before? Want to temper my expectations. For me the list announcement results in fevered eBay purchasing and CEX visits.

Now that I've seen The Expanse, the word "belter" has a very specific connotation to me now. Does Vol. 9 live on Eros?

Listening to the reveal podcast now. I'm here to Lord it over the non patreon chumps as well instructed.

Honestly you should hear what they call you on these podcasts. Turning the air blue...

Sounds like it's going to be a cracking year. Weirdly I know a lot less of the games being covered this year than usual, despite a lot of them being more recent! Probably because I skipped PS3, Xbox One and PS4. But I'll still be checking them out. Lots of games I'm interested to hear about, even if I can't personally relate to them.

Still also a ton of games from a certain franchise I love still to be covered too, which I presume are being saved for an epic playthrough leading up to the 4th in that series coming out sometime in 2021 / 2022.

Just overhearing this podcast now, whilst doing a bit of housework... This one's a good roster, because it's a good blend of stuff I haven't played but always wanted to, stuff I completed and like, and stuff that I have no interest in outside of podcast correspondence, but would love to contribute some blind commentary (a la Resident Evil 6 and Banjo Racing Thing).

One of which I've been playing off and on since 2017, and I've only this month gotten to the 85%(¿) mark.
But I reckon I'll have something to say for around 20% of them.
