This is a tad bit easier than the top 50 topic a year or so ago for me to compile. RPGs and platformers tend to be the dominant genre for console faves, which does not surprise me. Here is my list:

Mega Drive - Sonic 3 and Knuckles
SNES - Chrono Trigger
Game Boy - Pokemon Red
PS1 - FFVII
N64 - Banjo-Kazooie
Dreamcast - Rez
PS2 - We Love Katamari
Gamecube - Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Game Boy Advance - Mother 3
Wii - Super Mario Galaxy 2
PS3 - Portal 2
XBox 360 - Splosion Man
DS - Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
3DS - Kirby: Planet Robobot
Wii U - Mario Kart 8
PS4 - Nier Automata

PS4 was by far the toughest console to do for this list. While I love a wide variety of titles for most of the machines listed, I can say my favourite on each one with confidence. With the PS4 though, it has had some of my most beloved titles that have truly deepened my love for the art form that I had to really think hard on which title to put up there but yeah, Automata is a bonafide top 10 title for me so felt dirty not to put it as my favourite for the console.

Lists are my favourite! Mine is based mostly on what I owned but also what I played just as much of at the time - brother’s / best mate’s / son’s / etc. Roughly in the order owned. And exclusives where it works or where they even existed...

Interstate 1160 - Hockey / Football (genuinely what it was called!)
Atari 2600 - Seaquest
Game & Watch - Snoopy Tennis
Handheld - Grandstand Mini Munchman
VIC-20 - The Perils of Willy
BBC - Elite
Spectrum +2 - Feud (favourite game on any system ever)
C64 - Winter Games
Amstrad CPC - Chuckie Egg (yeah, I know, Spectrum one better)
Atari ST - Kick Off
Mega Drive - Virtua Racer
Game Boy - Tetris
Atari Lynx - California Games
Game Gear - G-LOC
PlayStation - Destruction Derby 2
Game Boy Colour - Pokemon Gold
PlayStation 2 - SSX 3
Game Boy Advance - V-Rally 3
GameCube - Wave Race
PSP - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
PlayStation 3 - Batman Arkham Asylum
Wii - The House of the Dead: Overkill
PlayStation 4 - Destiny
iOS - Alto's Adventure
3DS - Pokemon Ultra Moon
Xbox One - Demon’s Tilt
Switch - Gris

And stuff I didn’t have access to at the time but have played a lot of more recently...
Master System - Road Rash
NES - Mega Man 2
SNES - Super Mario World
PC Engine - Devil’s Crush

I’m throwing in the Shaolin’s Road arcade machine too as I probably spent enough on that to own it!
