Raptr - gaming review of 2012

Post by Dante Fireseed »

Just noticed this on Raptr, pretty interesting facts (some of which are fairly pointless!) about my gaming year of 2012.

If others here use Raptr, thought it would be interesting to compare stats! I think my overally hours of 227 is a bit artificially low, as it didn't track my 100+ hours of Diablo 3, or any of my PS3 time, which has increased more recently.

Anyone else feel to post yours below :)

I thought it would be higher than 552 hours to be honest, and The battlefield 3 one is ridiculous seen as I hadn't played it until I bought premium on launch day. The other worry is I must've played Skyrim 130 hours between launch and New Year's Eve 2011 as I've only clocked 70 this year.

Longest game session was the day my Mrs went away for the weekend and day most played is the only day off I have that the Mrs is at work lol

not sure how it works out 31 achievements in x-com only amounts to 11% of all achievements?! I think it's more like just over 50%! Other than that though, some interesting stuff.

edit: ahh i see it means 11% of all achievements that year.

Nothing about your 2012 Summary gives me that impression, unless the 200 hours over and above my own ridiculous tally were spent failing to beat Kirby's Epic Yarn! ;)

think Binding of Isaac and Sims Social hours might be just a little inflated considering I have them running in the background pretty much constantly....

Due to my work status or lack there of, i would be ashamed to put my Raptr yearly stats on here. Although most of my hours were accumulated by updating my gaming hours manually for PS3 games that i had played before joining Raptr. So its not a proper record of my 2012 gaming year, apart from the trophies & cheevos obviously. :P

It's actually pretty cool to see what your stats of the year were.

Frighteningly though, I apparently put 1053 hours into games last year - Of course, that will be totally different this year.

Ok, as i said in the previous post about half the amount of hours(PS3) are hours i manually put in due to the fact i only joined Raptr about 18 months ago. The hours are correct and are mostly from Battlefield Bad Company 2, Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2 and Killzone 2 multiplayer stats that were accumulated before joining Raptr. Sadly the BF3 hours stats are correct, i have spent way too much time on it, near 800hrs now and thats just the PS3 version. :o
The trophies and achievements are for the year though which i am quite proud of as a gamer. :P

Here's mine.

http://raptr.com/MblockHead/summary/2012

Time for some maths. 768hrs logged = 32 days exactly. I was out the country for 3 months last year, that leaves 9 months or roughly 273 days or 6,552hrs. That's 12% of total time gaming. That's 2hrs 54mins a day. I had a job during those 9 months where I was working roughly 45hrs a week or (rounded up) 6.5hrs a day. That leaves 17.5hrs of free time a day. Now if I've spent 2hrs 54mins a day gaming, that means I spent approximately 16% of my free time gaming or 9mins 36secs every hour. I do tend to leave games on pause for a long time, bad for my Xbox and also must bump that figure up. Still, its a lot more than I thought it was gonna be!

Using MBlockHead's maths, I have no idea how mine is so high.
