By all accounts it's, at best, a copycat survival game with an interesting venir. But it got terrible to middling reviews at launch, and people were generally pissed it was marketed as more story-driven than it really was.

It already was on there, but only in MS authored games. Now the tools for it are available for other mobile developers.

What does this mean in practical terms? I'll be able to download my purchased XBLA games to phone and play them?

It's more that the online multiplayer, party chat, etc can be integrated into none XBOX games I would think. Perhaps Achievements too, although they might want to keep a tighter hold on them.

Playing your games on a mobile device via streaming solutions is on it;s way too though.

You know how you can use your Facebook account to sign into games and have progress saved to the cloud? It’s like that, only you can use your Xbox live account instead. And there’ll be achievements.

Go play something Wordament on mobile to see an existing game with Xbox live integration.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is now backwards compatible with Xbox One X, which apparently alleviates a lot of the frame rate and freezing issues.

Legit considering buying one of those just for that. Probably won't. But still...

If they do a discless One X we'll probably swap Linda's (my wife) out for one as she's still on a launch One right now and we have zero use for a secondary UHD BlueRay player! ;)

I must admit, I don't really keep up with Xbox news, but whatever happened to that Gears Of War funko pop spin off thing? Wasn't that announced like two years ago (or was it only last E3, I forget?) It's not actually come out or anything yet has it?

Still in soft launch, though I think getting close to global launch soon (friend of mine is working on it).

It’s also not an Xbox game, it’s for mobile.

"...alongside digital versions of Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft".

I feel like they could have done a little better there.

Oh cool OK, that's interesting, I'll actually be able to play it then! I thought it was literally just a GoW game with the big head characters, but looking online it seems more of an arena based multiplayer thing?

It shows how technology has advanced.

Sadly though it's Microsoft trying to kill the used game market and push people into Game Pass and to buy games from the overpriced digital store.

clippa wrote: April 23rd, 2019, 9:16 am How much do xbox ones go for nowadays?
I had a quick look on german amazon.

Xbox 360 500GB with Forza Horizon 2 costs EUR 320,00

Xbox One S 1TB with Forza Horizon 4 costs EUR 252,68 (??)

Xbox One X 1TB with Forza Horizon 4 & Forza Motorsport 7 costs EUR 399,00

Xbox One X 1TB with Shadow of the Tomb Raider costs EUR 495,00 (??)

Suffice to say, I don't really understand how pricing works.
