Pretty generic name, but it's got giant robots flying through the air, so it might be worth a look.

I have to say I was seriously impressed by the Lords of Shadow 2 trailer. I've never payed any attention to that game before at all, but that blew me away. The "surprise" afterwards was great too.

I'm not really a fan of the Metal Gear games, so I don't really care that they don't have Hayter in the role of Snake any more, but it seems kind of stupid to go with the guy they did. I can see why fans would be pissed off by that.

Keifer Sutherland? I can see their line of logic as he has a gruff depressing tone but it's gonna be odd to hear Jack Bauer.

Did you play the first one? LoS was a huge surprise for me, and I agree, that trailer was awesome!

The ending to LoS is incredible, agreed! Have they changed how the game is structured in 2 or do we not know that stuff yet?

I've been deliberating getting the first LoS for a while now. I enjoyed the demo when it was first released, but after that I kind of forgot about the game. But news about the sequel has got me thinking about it again. I was avoiding stuff about the sequel, because I heard pretty much everything released about it gave away huge spoilers for the original, but I decided to give this trailer a chance. It did spoil the first, obviously, but has actually made me go ahead and buy the first. I literally ordered it just a few minutes ago.

As for the structure of the game, it appears to have changed a lot. In the full presentation they talked about how the game is a lot more open now. You can apparently move around the world freely, with no loading times and a completely free camera. It remains to be seen exactly how open the world actually is, but I believe they mentioned both Dracula's castle and a city to explore.

Well, it certainly sounds more exciting in terms of world structure. :-)

Here's the full show to see for yourself:

The Castlevania stuff starts at about 15:25, just after the Metal Gear stuff.

Yeah, I guess they kind of had to assume you finished the first game, but, I was immediately like "WHY ARE THEY SPOILING THE END OF THE FIRST ONE??"

Because, man, that ending was so great.

Tough to know what to make of concept trailers, even in-engine ones. Dying Light and Thief certainly set interesting tones, but I'd like to see some gameplay.

Speaking of gameplay, who on Earth was playing through Deus Ex: The Fall in that trailer? I've never seen so much wanton carnage and desruction in a Deus Ex game. Honestly, nothing besides the feat of putting so much of Human Revolution's mechanics and aesthetics onto an iPad looked interesting about it at all.

Yeah, I'm sort of hoping that's a teaser game for the next big one on PC/Consoles. Not interested in a tablet version but still would love to wee another game in that universe.

I really, really enjoyed HR.

I want to piss all over another Deus Ex too.

Ending aside, DX:HR made some excellent first steps that will surely continue into the next game. Unfortunately (not really) Eidos Montreal are currently on Thief, so a full Deus Ex may come from another team or have to wait.

Ah, just thinking about that bloody ending has ruined my evening all over again. :(

I'm just wondering when they're going to release the Wii U version of HR. Seems like it should have been released by now.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy it but I'd love to see the changes they have made to the terrible boss fights.
