No and no. I can add them but I wouldn’t necessarily anticipate a lot of enthusiasm from the team!

Fair enough. I didn't expect there to be much to be honest.

I’ll add them though, so we can see.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Apologies if I've requested this already. If not, would you ever consider the Goldeneye game on Wii?
I reckon it'd make an interesting show.
I loved it for how, when you tweaked them, it made motion controls for FPSs brilliant. It's also interesting from the viewpoint of how it handled remaking a game years later with new licensing restrictions.
Think it's a bit of an overlooked gem with a handful of great ideas and levels.

We talked about the other ‘GoldenEye’ games on our GoldenEye 007 podcast. I would say a full show is unlikely, though not inconceivable.

I must have missed that, apologies. I'll go check it out.ratsoalbion wrote: ↑January 13th, 2019, 3:03 pm We talked about the other ‘GoldenEye’ games on our GoldenEye 007 podcast. I would say a full show is unlikely, though not inconceivable.
Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I'm heartily recommending Wandersong for a future volume. It'd make a great indie palate cleanser between meatier backlog blockbusters. It clocks in at under 4 hours, has a lovely soundtrack and a charming concept, and narratively toys with the concept of heroism and solving problems without violence. It's not perfect, but it is rather lovely.
By the time it comes around to a future volume I expect it will be cheap as chips and available on Xbox as well as the current platforms.

Unsurprisingly that is already on the list. Any show on it is a minimum of two years away however.

I detect some Leon-Leon nepotism going on here. Hecc.ratsoalbion wrote: ↑January 29th, 2019, 8:15 am Unsurprisingly that is already on the list. Any show on it is a minimum of two years away however.
As a ballpark guess, as a percentage, how many of the previous recommendations will end up being full episodes? I know I did a big ol' list when I first joined, and a handful of those would make really compelling podcasts. Just not sure how to temper my expectations for actually seeing them.

There are 2000 games on the list. We do 50 games a year.

And as the CaR gang have mentioned before,
if lots more people subscribed via Patreon, that would surely result in them being able to cover more games per year...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I should say that we’re no longer actively running the (unsuccessful yet very helpful in terms of boosting income) ‘2 shows per week’ Patreon campaign.
However we are still very much working towards the point where Jay and I can go ‘full time’, which will allow us to do more, and do it all much better.
We’ve still a long ways to go though, and all contributions are very much appreciated.
Plus you get a load of early and exclusive content for just $1 per month!

Just wondering on average how many games get added to the list per year?ratsoalbion wrote: ↑January 29th, 2019, 9:40 am There are 2000 games on the list. We do 50 games a year.
If there's already 2000 on the list and as 50 will be struck from that list over the course of the year I wonder if the number will be any lower than 2000 by the December the 31st.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Well I guess on average it’s 330+ a year, but that has certainly decreased over time as most of the ‘classics’ and cult curios have already been added.
That said, there are interesting new games released almost on a daily basis, so that figure actually tracks.

You're going to need a succession plan.ratsoalbion wrote: ↑February 2nd, 2019, 1:36 pm Well I guess on average it’s 330+ a year, but that has certainly decreased over time as most of the ‘classics’ and cult curios have already been added.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I am assuming they are on the list but I would love for the drakengard series to be covered. Given the Nier spin offs have made the list why not go back to the origins? Go on you know you want to!
