The entire FFT series is on the list.

I consider this a kind of Googlewhack exercise, albeit one where I feel I'm cheating if I nominate - for example - Roland on the Ropes or Roland in the Caves, from the CPC464 heyday of total dogshit games which will never appear on Cane and Rinse.

I could nominate the Repton series from the BBC Micro/Acorn Electron days, games which I played a lot as a kid and which I would love C&R to cover but, again, it feels like cheating. (From some buried memory, I now actually think I did at some point...) Likewise, I would love an issue on the magnificent and still playable Castle Quest, but it ain't happening because it's not primarily a podcast about my childhood memories! For that reason, obscure 8-bit games are too easy and I feel they clog the list unnecessarily.

The real art is to pull a Virtua Racing out of the bag. It should be there, let's be honest, but he's taken a punt, and lo and behold! It's a notch on the bedpost. Maybe the spread of ports across different formats have made its natural home slightly questionable and so it slips through the cracks, who knows, but he's blagged himself a genuine contender there.

With that in mind, I'm going to nominate the grubby PS1 minor classic, Twisted Metal. I would like an issue on it, it probably should be on the list if you compiled a list of notable PS1 games, but it might just be easily enough overlooked to never take its place on the exalted Excel spreadsheet. What do you say, Leon? :D

Did you not always think it was a bit weird that in Roland In The Caves he seemed to have turned in to a frog in a game that was literally nothing like any of the other Roland games?

Roland On The Ropes though, me and my brother loved that. We never completed it, but spent so long playing it. Also, Werewolves Of London was another CPC game we played to death. Proper open world adventure, looked great and even (although I never realised this at the time) featured the classic Warren Zevon tune on the title screen!

I've probably already suggested it, but is Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne on the list?

I figured I'd ask since a port got announced today.

The entire series is on the list but I've added info relating to the forthcoming remaster.

A bit obscure maybe, but Team Buddies for the PS1! Hours were had with this game with a multitap!

I know it's a bit early to start thinking about next year, but what are the chances of adding Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne to next year's list of games around the time of the release of its remaster?

These aren't new suggestions, and I'm not under any illusion whatsoever that forum posts have any influence on how games are picked, but regardless, thought I'd share a few 'dream show' games for next year. If any of these make the cut it would be awesome (which it will be anyway, but you know what I mean).

The Witness
Hollow Knight
Yoku's Island Express
Judgment
Death Stranding
Lemmings
Cannon Fodder

I had a look at when you announced the list last year and it was Christmas Eve!

Will we get an earlier Christmas present this year? I get so excited about the next volume every year!
