Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy would be an interesting listen. I bet he'd even come on the show if you wanted him!

Has Into the Breach been suggested? I couldn't find it via search. One of my personal games of the decade, in a walk!

Forgotton Anne and Into the Breach have both been on the list since they came out.

I've added Getting Over It and I'm sure Bennett would come back on the show to talk about it.

Mega Man 11 could be interesting; I realize you left off with 2, but as much as I love 4 and 5, change has been so incremental in that series that going all the way to the newest one would be the most interesting, and bring you up to speed on all the mechanics added along the way.

I would love to hear an issue on Battle Garegga, I think it would make for a fascinating discussion. I've never played a shmup quite like it. It's an instant classic for me. I've played it before a handful of times via emulation but it's taken the M2 STG release to really get me to pay attention and play it with my eyes and ears and mind open.

I got it on PS4 via the US PSN store but it's also on the XB, also via US store. 35 dollars. I would love it if on the Switch but I very much doubt they'll go back to the 2016 port and re-port that. I vowed not to get any new games til FF7R but I don't regret this one bit.

Scaler
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System

Both are very well done as games and relatively obscure / forgotten. Personally I'd like to hear more about games like these: really solid stuff, well crafted (doesn't mean it doesn't have problems or design decisions worth discussing), not that well known (relatively). Same for Pac-Man World 2.

Yeah, I would really love that, even Dangun Feveron would be great to try properly. Fingers crossed that ESP sold well enough for them.

Actually I just checked and… yeah Metal Arms and Scaler are fine (played on Gamecube) but I was wrong about Pac Man World 2, that game is not really fit for a podcast.

I guess this is the first time somebody asked for their submission to be deleted so just a quick explanation: being a 3d platformer, the game requires you to make tons of jumps in 3d but it's basically impossible to judge where some objects are (collectables or platforms etc) for all kinds of reasons: sometimes the object / goal falls outside of the camera, sometimes it blends with the background, sometimes the level design is a bit against what it's asking you to do, sometimes the controls are not appropriate (underwater section) etc… That's just one of the examples.

So despite being a Gamecube era game, it has flaws from early 3d platformers. It almost works but it's just not well made. Maybe I was much better at estimating 3d space back then, or more tolerant and willing to play games despite their flaws… or I simply mixed it up with something else.

Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party!!!! (not my exclamation marks) is an amazing rhythm game. I'd love something from this genre on the show. The Rhythm Heaven issue was a good one.

An interesting and different show in theory, but it would mean several of us spending a lot of money on a lot cardboard and having the time, space and inclination to set it all up...

As it stands, I believe only Darren has any at all of his own.
