Yeah it's great isn't it. Bit of a slow start but once you get in to it, it's brilliant. The last couple of hours just had some absolutely epic battles, especially at the airport.dezm0nd wrote:
Replayed Max Payne 3 on Hard. Definitely my favourite third person shooter. It's so good.

Thanks, I did give it a try - and then deleted it. >_<Todinho wrote:Do it! it's a really fun game to play once you grasp the mechanics and dont worry about being caught up with the series the game stands alone well enough and even non metal gear fans can play it and not be completely lost if you really want though play MGS4 first since this takes place after that and some references are made to the game if you want tips on how to play the game well there's this really good video explaining the important stuff
I just couldn't get in to it at all. I know it's not a similar game really, but it kind of reminded me of Vanquish, and I don't really like that style. I can't put my finger on it, but it's a very Japanese style of game, super smooth scrolling and dashing about all the time. I'm not describing it well but I know exactly what I mean!!

...you're dead to me sir.But I think I know what you mean about the Platinum style game too but bad though they are really fun.
Re: Games Completed 2014
List of games I've completed thus far this year:
Dead Rising 3
Atom Zombie Smasher
Proteus
Two games that it's debatable how they are beaten but I'm satisfied none the less!

01/01 - Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
01/01 - Super Monkey Ball (Easy Levels)
01/01 - Super Monkey Ball (Advanced Levels)
02/01 - TRAUMA
03/01 - Machinarium
06/01 - Uplink
17/01 - Lyne
21/01 - Botanicula
Animata Design seem to have this running theme of anticlimaxes; and generally great point-and-click adventure games that have one or two brick walls within them where the solution to a puzzle is jarringly obtuse and doesn't feel like they tested it at all.
Considering I have no memory of buying Botanicula, let alone how much I spent on it, I thought it was all right.

Re: Games Completed 2014
Brothers:A Tale of two sons(Ps3)-yep it's pretty good,I really liked the premise and the how clever the controls where, there where also some pretty cool moments in the game but that aside it didnt do much for me Im afraid, that said I really liked the direction they took with the ending I think that was really well done.I still dont get though some people saying how this game shows how gameplay can be evocative and how this shows the potential of games,I mean I get where they are coming from but there have been many games in the past that did similar things and affected me more, but I digress it's a good game no matter how you look at it in the end of the day and since it's nothing on Ps plus right now I'd give it a shot if you have 3 hours to burn.

Contra 3 (SNES/WiiU)Rayman Legends (WiiU)
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PS3)
Gravity Bone (PC)
Thirty Flights of Loving (PC)
Street Fighter Alpha (PS1/PSN)
Wipeout 2048 (Vita)
Megaman 2 (NES/WiiU)
Another pair of classics that'd passed me by until now. Both hard as hell and immensely rewarding. Gonna try me some more Megaman in the very near future.

23/01 - Cave Story+
I was led to believe that Cave Story was a lot longer than it actually was; I had fun, though the controls are floaty as all hell. That wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't know that so many people lambasted Pid for having (significantly less so) floaty controls, yet I haven't met a person who didn't love Cave Story.
