Really fancy Frostpunk though wish it was on Switch. Would take a gamble on John Wick Hex if it wasn't PC only

I had never heard of it before this thread but it seems like there's a lot of love and effort that went into this one, for sure. On the list it goes.

Interested in Frostpunk as well.

Yooka Laylee: Impossible Lair is reviewing extremely well. After the limp debut I was sceptical but I am hopeful now.

Yeah I'm quite surprised. I'd not been following it at all given the lukewarm reception to the first game, and didn't even know it was mainly a 2.5D side scroller. It looks decent, and is way cheaper than the top tier Nintendo side on platformers. One to add to my watch list, I think.

This is the good stuff.

Usually when I'm going all "ooh, look at this, might be canny" and then never, ever mention it again, it means it turned out to be utter dogshit and I'm upset and don't want to talk about it, so I thought I'd better say something.

Be very careful with bombs in this game. 30 hearts? One stupidly mistimed press of the right bumper will instantly kill you

It's been quite slim pickings for me so far this year, but this is up there with the big boys. 2 quid an' all, can't say fairer than that.

Boom!

The dev and some Japanese bloke ahead of me, I can live with that. Look at the difference in score though, it makes me think I'm missing some secrets like in spelunky but I don't want to spoil them, I'll just keep playing. This is so much fun!

Next time I'm just gonna get all the treasure, no matter what.

It's shocking to me that A Hat in Time took this long to get to the Switch.

I remember there being a boycott at release because the youtuber they'd hired to do a few lines of voicework turned out to be a sheltered little racist brat. Absolutely nobody saw it coming.
Everything's better on the switch so I'm assuming that's all been forgotten about.

I'd backed it long before the controversy and I'm a colossal racist so I played it anyway.
It's ... alright, it tries to do too much, they should have just concentrated on making a mario sunshine style game and acing that. You'll know what I mean if you ever play it, but the first stage is really fun, though it could have used longer in the oven, then instead of just riffing on that, they try to do lots of interesting things with the other stages that never quite work and it hobbles the pace, it's all a bit stop/start. A good effort but it's totally skippable, get cat mario instead.

The Outer Worlds... a new Obsidian RPG... and it launches day one on gamepass so I don’t even have to go and buy it.

Christmas has come early.
