If you change your location to NZ and download it from that marketplace, you can play it now!

I noticed the game performing a bit off but probably due to my xbox talking to NZ servers?

Hmm, I wonder if you've got both patches, including the second 5Gb one?

I've pre-installed so ready to play it tomorrow if I can get the kids off of Lego Avengers.

Weirdly, mine only downloaded the first patch when it did the preload. The second patch only started after I'd played it for twenty minutes and then closed it. Defo big improvements with the second patch which is nearly as big as the base game.

Played through the first boss fight just now. The opening sequence got me straight away.

I've played about an hour and was almost instantly sucked right in.

I can't believe there are gamers out there who haven't experienced this series.

This is quite likely to be the last week for a long while where release dates will remain unaffected by global events.

Also, prepare yourselves for the next gen console releases to be put back to 2021.

Well if there's a silver lining to this whole mess, it's that at least we now have the perfect opportunity to finally dive into the one or other classic from our backlog. Nothing like a break in the release schedule to make us appreciate that which we already have, I would think.

Hoping to grab a copy of Doom Eternal next week if I still can, though!

Completely agree, Camille.

For us sports fans the world feels even weirder than it might due to the massive (temporary) void that sport has left.

I am lucky though in that (unlike, say, my father-in-law), it's not my only passion. I have an insurmountable mountain of games, movies, books and TV shows to dive into.

I’m filling that sports void by watching more esports. Most of the major events are moving to online only for the time being, which means we’ll finally get to see the Chinese and Korean Overwatch league teams start their 2020 seasons soon.

As for releases, I can see physical ones being affected but they may push ahead with the digital ones anyway.

I'm hoping my Doom Eternal pre-order still makes it to me on Friday.

Saying that I ordered a new phone today and was told it would take 1 week for delivery then this evening recieved a message saying it will be delivered tomorrow.

Hopefully DPD are shipping Doom.
