I need to replay that myself. I want to see how it holds up.

I played it last year (or the year before?) and its just as fresh as it ever was. Its still one of the best platformers. Much harder than I remembered though!

How am I meant to find the time for this when I’ve only just started Cross Code and Ghost of Tsushima is out on Friday? HOW?

This is based purely on buzz.
Seems to be about where it’s sitting at the moment.

Both Eurogamer and Kotaku have gone with ‘it’s pretty but it’s just another open world game”.

Which is, you know, exactly what I wanted it to be, so yay.

I'm going to make a big call here but unless Nintendo announce something, I don't think I'll be buying a new game now until the next consoles hit. I'm saving replays of FF7R and TLOU2 for the PS5 but I'll be happy polishing off some PS4 exclusives (Spider-Man, God of War, Death Stranding and playing my shmups). MS Flight Sim looks amazing but again, I'll probably save it for the XSX.

Theres only serious Sam 4 next month that I'm interested in (before the new consoles).

I haven't really bought many new games as of late and whilst I miss not playing Tetris Effect, I gotta admit having one less console to think about definitely helps me focus on where my time and money is spent

Wasn’t sure where to put this, but The Gigatrack is now available free in Trials Rising. This is the longest Trials track ever, and it’s really worth experiencing if you’ve got the game. I’ve not explored further but I think there’s some new bikes and stuff too.

Yes, the Xbox version doesn't have a date. It's going to be quite a task to squeeze it onto even an Xbox One X. In fact I wonder if it will run at all on base Xbox One. May Series X only?

Digital Foundry did a feature on the game, and they talked about how the environment for the game is actually stored in the cloud and streamed in as needed. It's not stored locally, because the data for it would just be impossibly huge.

Interesting how years after they stopped pushing this cloud computing idea for games as it seemed to never get off the ground, we finally get an example of something that actually seems to be making use of the tech as promised. Although it does call in to question the future viability of the game itself.
