DriveClub is my favourite racing game of the generation (not the best but my favourite) and I hope it appears on an upcoming C&R show! Fascinating trajectory and ultimately one of the best games I've played over the last five years.

DriveClub is a fantastic game, and one that I think has unfairly been brushed aside in favor of some of its high-profile competitors. But man, the fact that we're even talking about it in terms of an "arcade racer" says a lot about the current state of the genre. Any way I look at it, it's definitely closer to Gran Turismo than F-Zero GX.

Unless I misunderstand you, of course. Sorry if that's the case.

Man, we need a CandR driver club.

Pick a track, pick a car and hot lap to set a best time.

Tables and everything.

Do this.

Get a thread up.

I’ve not got Drive Club but I’ll get it if that’s what we want to play, it’s only £6 at CEX.

You might wanna look into getting the season pass as well whenever it's discounted. I've rarely seen a more blatant value for money proposition than the ridiculous amount of content included in that one. Absolute steal.

One of my favourite arcade racers of recent years is Horizon Chase on mobile. Controls work just great, and it's a really fun game. They've released it with bells and whistles on PS4 too, but I'm not sure I'd pay the £15 or whatever they're asking for it, but it was definitely worth the £3.99 or thereabouts I paid for the Android original.

Heeeey, nice! I'll let someone more knowledgeable than me make the thread and set the challenge(s). Just give me a highscore to smell and I'll be a happy hound.

So 11-11 Memories Retold, then?

I'd not heard anything whatsoever about this, until an advert for it played before a YouTube video. I'd usually skip as soon as possible, but the review quotes made me sit up and pay attention. A narrative driven, first world war game, with no combat, and it's had excellent reviews!

Am I the only one who's not heard about this until now? It looks very interesting.

I was reading that about half the games are on the cart and the rest are dlc, but free? Seems like a weird way to do it.

There are some great little curios on there though.

Bit of a big week, really. Probably Black Friday related. Consoles selling, games too!

Does anyone know if Hitman 2 is going to continue with the server-based single player model that the pervious game had? There's plenty on info regarding ditching the episodic structure, but I'm not a fan on persistent online connection/DRM aspects.

Looks like it, I'm afraid. I can't find any blatantly official source for this, but I'm seeing plenty of forum posts on reddit and resetera that seem to confirm the existence of the exact same "always online" DRM as the first one.

It's completely anti-consumer and it sucks. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, buddy. I'll admit to being part of the problem for having bought the first one. :(
