In this Sound of Play host Leon Cox is joined by Play;Write podcast host Ryan Quintal

What we aim to bring you with Sound of Play is a diverse sample of some of our favourite pieces from the many air-punching, spine-tingling, tear-jerking and grin-inducing videogame soundtracks we’ve heard over the years.

Fair warning on the proposed/mused about Ace Combat C&R: Giving the entire series the full treatment's going to be a logistical nightmare. Even discounting the various spin-offs (two of which can literally not be acquired legally at this point), the main series is spread out across PS1, PS2, Xbox 360 and modern systems. On top of that, the International and Japanese versions of Electrosphere are so different that they're basically seperate games, featuring completely different plots and characters, with the International version missing about half of the missions of the Japanese one due to cutting out the branching story paths.

On top of that , actually 100%ing any of the games is pretty tough.

So, as a big fan of the series...uh, good luck!

Indeed, for the reasons cited above - plus a general lack of interest among the team - it’s quite unlikely to happen.
