Hey man, these were all great. Metroid was superb !!

Managed to get new World Records on all but one of them too  .

Now that I've managed to unlock all the items I had a crack at making a more fuller experience with my new level.

EBD4-0000-0148-C73B

I think I try and create something satisfying and tricky, as opposed to skillfull and fast levels.

Mario Maker has been a massive curveball for me of late, certainly up there in my game of the year contenders.

My Kingdom for a Raccoon Leaf (9421-0000-0174-1BF7)
Super Mario STG+ (CA77-0000-0171-B3D7)
Another Castle? (295D-0000-016A-1DD4) - Find the haunted attic in this one.
High Road or Low Road? (2716-0000-013D-D27A) - This one is properly challenging, but still fair, no matter which route you choose.
Dare to Explore! (7FF2-0000-013D-BF87)
Super Mario Bros. Fundamentals (6D2C-0000-0117-5872) - My first stage, with which I got my feet wet. Easy clear!

Just discovered this thread, by the way. I'll be sure to check all your stages out. I don't know if everyone is using the bookmark webportal already? Pretty handy: https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/

Biggest thing I've noticed coming back to this game since the initial release, is the amount of traffic your created levels get, or lack of now it seems.

My first level in release week got over 100 completions and a couple of stars, my last 4 I've uploaded have got under 40 ATEMPTS between them :( .

One cool thing is that my Mrs has started to mess around with the creator too, which is cool as its great watching her mess around with it, just be careful if anyone decides to follow me and try a few of her uploads, lololoololol !!!

Haha, I enabled my daughter's account for online play, as she really wanted other people t o be able to play what she's making, but I did not want to sacrifice any of my meager 10 slots and/or consistency!

I've played quite a few stages posted in here, last night and left comments via Miiverse. Good stuff, everyone!

Yep, that's definitely been the case for me. Far less engagement with my newer levels. I wonder if there will be a purge at some point for levels that haven't seen any positive activity, or some other plan to cull the herd. I seem to remember rumblings from Nintendo about that in the ramp up to release.

It's mentioned in the Q&A in the in-game manual, that if a level of yours disappears, it might be because of a lack of engagement over an unspecified amount of time. Yeah. I read the in-game manual. In full.

Cool, I'll follow you all tonight when I get in and have a go at your creations.

I much prefer playing levels this way, as opposed to discovering creators via the courses challenges.

My Mrs has an account on the Wii U but she plays on my profile as I've unlocked all the skins and pieces now, so it makes sense, plus it makes it more couch co-op friendly using one account - however, that's certainly a good way of keeping your creations your own.

One thing I desperately pray for, which I'm sure I'm not alone in, is the ability to be able to create your own world map and position your levels in a way that would mimic a small Super Mario 3/World game.

Imagine picking your best 5 levels and placing them in either a skill or story order, giving it a pretty background and giving it a starting lives figure. Just like the existing 10 or 100 Mario challenges but user created.

Then give people your world code and bam, your very own little complete Mario experience.

It seems like all the tools and input techniques are there, they just need to be set up, although, I'm also aware of the potential programming issues and time it may tale to implement something like this to an already released game.

Perhaps for Mario Maker 2.

That would be tremendous, yeah. I've seen a few people try and do it manually. Bunny for example. A superb set of levels, but it's fiddly getting to them in order.

Bookmarked.

I didn't have much time to make the type of courses I like to make, but I whipped up a short and sweet one. Seemingly impossible at first for those that never mastered the New Super Mario Bros. move set and controls, dead easy for those that did.

As Capcom uses to say: "Thank you for playing."

I played yours too and left comments on Miiverse.

I finally got around to finishing off NSMBU yesterday (yeah, I know). The final castle assault with the parachuting bob-oms got me to thinking I'd really like to see those in Mario Maker.

Basically anything to which you can currently attach wings could alternatively have a parachute. Only possible wrinkle is the limited verticality in Mario Maker levels, but I think it'd work.

Thanks! I'm way more enthusiastic than I am talented when it comes to level design, but I hope it's enjoyable. :-)

I reuploaded my last course as a timer of 500 sec. didn't make much sense for it. The '100 seconds left' jingle starts it off quite nicely and emphasises that you have to speed through this one. https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintend ... -0191-9AC9

New precise runner course, Don't Stop 2: Electric Boogaloo

https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintend ... -01A4-7B08

The sequel to the smash 60-star mega hit, Don't Stop (https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintend ... -000F-B3D1). Man I loved it in the early days when my levels actually showed up in the rotation. :-)

LOL, I love the title. Bookmarked!

I've been working on this one on and off. Best thing about the NSMBU style is the move set it grants Mario, IMO. So I made a level all about wall jumping. There are some spots of relief though, most notably a hidden sublevel that plays nothing like the main level.
