Howdy! Just been looking into Overwatch (after ignoring it for ages) and it looks really good. I was just wondering if anyone's picking this up and on what? Might be able to get a team or teams organised!

I had it pre-ordered on XBO but cancelled it, I'm not yet convinced it's something I want to put the time into. Also, I have a PS4 as well now so might want to get it for that instead if I know more people playing on that.

Luckily I've got all three options thanks to my job and the kids so I just wan't to try and gauge numbers and platforms. I loved TF2 so I can see me getting quite a bit of use out of this but I don't think any of my friends would be into this so I thought I'd "reach out" :D

Big Blizzard fan and I'm keen to see how this works on my PC. If it's good and I can play it, i'll get it on PC but I'm glad it's coming to consoles, too!

Watched the console comparison yesterday and they're looking pretty good. Slight downgrade on the xbone textures as far as I can tell, but they're both running smooth as silk at 60! Dived on TF2 at lunch and it made me wan't to play this EVEN more :D The specs for PC on medium don't look too outlandish (http://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-system ... -revealed/).

It just looks really fast, complex and interesting!

I have it pre ordered on Xbox one. Really looking forward to trying it when the beta hits consoles.

I'm on the Overwatch PS4 open beta now if anybody wants to team up (I seem to be the only person on the board who gets these games on PS4 and not X1...).

Account name is DrShotgunPhD.

I'll join you on the 5th! I put a pre-order in for the pc version but that's not given me access to the early open I'm afraid :-/

I'll probably be on the open beta on the PS4 at some point.

Great stuff. I'll add you both on PSN and dive on. Anyone else reading this who's giving it a go just add me zGoNaDs

Pretty sure I'll be done with this before the beta is over.

I'm impressed. Really impressed.

Playing on ps4 at the moment, but I might have a play on the xbo as well and see which pad I prefer playing with. Then see if either version can be found cheaper than the other. Because I really can't see there being any notable performance issues between the two.

Blizzard are masters of both character design (in that they create actual characters rather than just skins with weapon load outs, there's actual personality here) and game balance. Every map plays differently, and gives you good reason to pick pretty much any character at some point. Even support is fun, and I normally hate playing support.

I'm in. Having to play on the PC as I keep getting disconnect errors on the PS4 :-/

Apparently "what you see is what you get" with the Open Beta. There are no new features "waiting" for us in the retail version of the game; what we're playing right now is how the game will be when it launches. Kind of disappointing; I like Overwatch a lot for what it is, but I was hoping for support like daily quests or something with it. Apparently we're going to get more featured added over the course of the summer (basically it's Splatoon all over again).

Also, after I posted that I was getting bored, I stayed up all night playing it. So when I said that? Nevermind.

I wouldn't be too worried to be honest. I can see this being around and well supported for a very long time. They'll need to get the mvp out to make sure it's what people want in the state it's in before they grow it. I still go on team fortress a few nights a month and never get bored so I can't see this being much different for me. Even more so given the character variety.

Also, like battlefield and destiny - I think this'll be a game best played with others. I think the scope for tactical team play will make this game really exciting and challenging.

Honestly I haven't had a community of people to play games with since I quit WoW. People on PSN and XBL are so fickle and people on forums are so PC-focused.

I'm really interested in this game for the long term if I'm honest. I'm really hoping we can get enough people together on here to make a team. Plus it's always more of a social!

That bastion bastards a bit OP at the moment. I hope they chill that thing out for launch. Blazes a tank down in < second in it's turret form.

Needless to say. I'm sold!

You have to work as a team to take down a Bastion, just as players have to work with their Bastion for it to be most effective. There's plenty of ways to take it down. Double snipers. Pincer tactics. A decent Tracer player. A decent Junkrat player.

I'd totally be down for getting a weekly group together, but... I am stranded on the PS4 version of the game.

As far as I can tell there's a lot of PS4 users around here. I'm one of them. Tried it on the PC and PS4. I'll be honest, feels much better to play on PS4! All of the controls are where you'd expect them to be so you're not fumbling to find the right button under fire.
