Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Swapsies!

Post by dezm0nd »

We just over 2 weeks away from Animal Crossing on the Switch and I'm getting excited.

Here's the place to organise any play sessions and/or trades with the fine community here on the forum.

If you fancy plonking down Switch IDs then go for it, check the spoiler field for the codes

I am up for trying this out properly. I've only ever played New Leaf and that was all solo and basically living in a box fishing my life away all day. I didn't do much else so I suspect I've never really got the genuine AC experience. I don't really understand what it's all about so now will be the time to find out.

My Switch code is 6521-8732-5710 for those who don't have it.

Really enjoying it and it's only day 1.

Really feeling the pull with the nookmiles and once I saw you could buy tools from Timmy I was golden.

So first time crossing (if that's the term) here.

Is this day/night cycle tied in to real time permanently?. I got the nook miles but haven't been able to do anything else till "tomorrow" so can't leave the island yet or invite people

Animal crossing is very much a game about new things opening up each and every day.

Real time day night cycle yes

Things going well on Nomani San island. I had been trying vegan Animal Crossing (a la vegan Breath Of The Wild), but I quickly realised that some of the DIY recipes are locked behind collecting bugs/fish for Tom Nook very early in the game.

I've now realised too that I can use a Flimsy Axe to crack stones off the large rocks (figured I'd need a sturdier Pick or something). On the first swing of my axe I got an Iron Nugget, so I now have my very own DIY bench, right next to my tent.

The museum groundsheet was laid this morning, so by tomorrow, hopefully, I should have somewhere to donate my bug and fish collection (Tom Nook stopped accepting these after I did the task to pick the museum location).

I’m all set up and accepting visitors to The Bwlch now - so please, come by, pay visit to the notice board and help yourself to peaches.

Had a guest already and I was gifted some cherries and some nifty shades.

They wanted my Cane and Rinse poster 😄.

So, in Nooks little gangbang tent, on the Nook Miles machine, you can redeem you miles for items.

There’s an item in there called the ‘Organisation Tool’, it’s 5000 miles but it increases your carry capacity by 50% - well handy 👍🏽.

Ooh, good tip. Thanks.

I spent 5000 miles to pay off the moving fees, but will save up for that next I think.

Anyone found a way of getting a shovel yet? I know it's only day 2 but I feel at a loss without a full arsenal of tools

I got mine from Timmy, although come see me and I’ll gift you one.

Failing all that, if you by the better tools plan from the Nook Miles programme it’s in there.

I can make iron ones now 😎.

I haven't got one but I bought the Tool Kit for 3k Nook Miles and the shovel is now available for crafting. Need one nugget and some other basic stuff.

Ah excellent. Another question. Do trees reset their hit allowance per day or does two whacks one tree carry on to the next?

Got wood.
