So a handful of us seem to be playing Rocket League again at the moment, and if you have a Switch it's only £7.50 right now. The Switch port really is excellent. It looks and plays perfectly well, don't be put off by early reports of the game running poorly, it's been patched up great.

I've put over ten hours in to the Switch version over the last week and been having a blast. It's totally cross play too, you can add friends by their Rocket ID. Mine, if you want to add, is: Alex79uk#7908 - leave your IDs below if you like.

This morning I've been having fun playing the basketball and ice hockey modes. Everyone always overlooks these (408 people worldwide playing basketball mode this morning) but they're really fun and a nice break from the main event.

We could even start a Cane and Rinse team (if our benevolent overlords have no objection). Not sure what this involves, but I think it just kind of gives you a hub where all our names and IDs would be listed and a [CaR] tag when you play.

Loving this game right now. It's basically the substitute for football. It's SO good this is cross-platform. I'm playing with Xbox and PS4 mates some nights, something we've never done before.

The game isn't on offer on Switch anymore by the way. I know because I was hassling my brother to get it, and by the time he got to my messages this morning it was back to full price.

I generally get some gaming time 10pm-ish if I'm still awake

So, are you guys still playing this regularly? And is it really 100% cross-play, as in I could play on PS4 and you guys on Switch without any issue? Just use the in-game lobby to team up?

I might buy another month of PS+ and dive back into this after all. I must be pretty rusty by now, though!

Yeah it's as easy as that. You'd need to add us by our Rocket League IDs in the in-game menu, but it's totally cross play. I've not played (anything at all) in a couple of days due to feeling flat out exhausted but aside from that yeah still playing most nights.
