Rock Band Blitz - Forum War - Wednesdays

Post by dezm0nd »

Thought it'd be nice to have a friendly battle over Rock Band Blitz in an asynchronous way. The winner then gets to pick the next song. Who's in? I have spoiler tag the previous weeks in order to keep the top thread clean and concise.
Spoiler: show
Week One

Jungle Boogie by Kool and the Gang Winner - Dezm0nd - Shockwave, Blast Notes, Super Guitar - 152,460

Week Two

Gay Bar by Electric Six Winner - AndyKurosaki - Shockwave, Blast Notes, Super Guitar - 145,153

Week Three

Death on Legs by Queen Winner - Dezm0nd - Band mate, blast and super keys - 177,825
Week Four

System of a Down - BYOB

Dezm0nd - Bandmate, Blast Notes, Super Guitar - 286,372
AndyKurosaki - Road Rage, Blast Notes, Super Guitar - 285,952

Can I play the selected tune on the guitar in RB3, or is the scoring system incompatible?

Nah I think the scoring on RBB is completely its own thing as you're playing all instruments on your pad trying to max out your multiplier.

Yeah of course. Big fan of Frequency/Amplitude, may pick this up but I need to find time for more RB3 (possible game of the generation for me) first!

Right then, anyone got a suggestion for a decent song, I assume from the initial set list and let's face off like that film, face off, I think the name is.

I can't seem to find the 'Blitz' songlist, other than the 3 songs that are on the demo. I've gone to the "Song from" section, and can find the Rock Band 1 setlist, and my 'Downloaded Setlist', but for Blitz there's just 3, Queen, Foo Fighters and that other one I've forgotten.

Track wise I'm up for anything, primarily Metal/Rock, but I'm quite open minded. Where would we stand on the use of Power-Ups? Would it be "everyone can only use a set type", or "none at all", which may be easier...

Once you purchase the game, you should be given the option to download an additional 700+ MB file that saves to your RB3 folder. This file contains the missing 22 songs, as well as making all 25 playable in RB3.

Yeah for some reason when that popped up, I thought it said "download soundtrack" and ignored it. D'oh. Got it downloading now, 60% left to go.

I'm up for some score war action. Feel free anyone to add me on Live (GSMason) or Facebook.

One of the main 25 songs makes sense rather than checking which dlc everyone has (though this can be done through rock band world Facebook app)

Anyone any preference?
Jungle Boogie?
These Days?
Pumped up Kicks?
Spoonman?
Give It Away
(a few of my faves off the top of my head)

For me, Give It Away is the worst song in the game (2nd would be Jungle Boogie). It's the only song I gave a 1 lighter rating to in RB3 when I was ploughing through the tracks on Expert vocals to get the full game FC.

The beauty of musical taste. Jungle Boogie is the only song on the entire Blitz setlist that I would want to play.

Try singing it. Trust me, it's no fun whatsoever.

Jungle Boogie it is! Post your scores and what perks you used to achieve such scores. A smartphone picture would also be nice but i'm sure we're all honest gamers! :)

The joy of playing a song you don't particularly like the sound of is that if you win, you pick the next song! I'll add each score posted to the first initial post and then by next wednesday add the new song, too!

Here's my 1st attempt: Point Doubler, Blast Notes, Super Drums - 125,222 points - 5 out of 5 stars
