Ok I have just ordered the game. No add-ons, pre-order bonuses or Premium content at this point, just the vanilla disc for PS4. £34 after reward point deductions.

Played a bit today and really enjoyed it. Servers are a bit wonky so I didn't do any conquest (fave mode) so just stuck to short, fast TDM tonavoid spending ages in a server, crashing and losing XP.

Dont forget, get your commander app as well as the general battlelog app for your tablets. Very handy!

I've thus far stuck to Quick Team Deathmatch and had no problems. Great way to quickly unlock stuff. And there's a 100% XP upgrade still on. Happy days.

If you really want to rank up quickly with getting weapon unlocks along the way, then Conquest/Domination is the mode to use. Ridiculous amounts of XP can be farmed in that mode. TDM relies on kills mainly for xp but Con/Dom has quick capture points for around 250xp each time + any bonus xp. With double xp on at the minute your Score Per Minute will soar. Hopefully i'll be on later if anyone wants to squad up to try & see if Conquest or Rush 64 player(what PC players have been telling me for years is the 'true' Battlefield experience) works.

Went Premium last night, then played a couple of games of Conquest but after a while the game crashed each time, sending me to the PS4 error reporting doohickey. Quite frustrating as no stats and unlocked were tracked by the looks of things.

It seems like there is no Platoon option (yet) on Battlefield 4, unless I'm missing something, so change your Clantag to CaR. It should, at worst, make it easier to spot fellow friends in battle.
