“Just check the guest list. I'm under the section for fellas that ain't ugly freaks.”

In this issue, Josh, Sean, Michiel and Jacob take a bus to the small town of Innsmouth to investigate the fishy goings-on and casually uncover eldritch horrors not meant for mortal glaze. We discuss the lengthy development time for Headfirst Productions’ second and final release before the company went bankrupt. The panel also asks how effectively it feels that Lovecraft’s vision of cosmic horror can be conveyed in the context of a first person shooter. All that and more in our podcast on 2005’s Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

Music used in this issue:

1. Main Menu by Greg Chandler
2. Smile at Me, Baby by Greg Chandler

Cane and Rinse 340 was edited by Sean O'Brien.

I feel so bad about my post now.

It was how I felt after finishing the game and I mostly still agree but hearing it read out made me cringe at how negative I was. I’m sorry Sean. I wish there had been some overly positive feedback to offset my thoughts.

Personally, I loved Simon's post. :P

I thought it provided some hilarious contrast and unintentional comedy. Great show, gents.

Much obliged!

Now we've got both Simon and Sean feeling bad for each other!

It was soooo negative. :D

A strange thing happened to me; between abandoning the game halfway through, and listening to the podcast, I seem to have subconciously convinced myself that it is one of the greatest games ever. Very strange, I might go back to it yet.

Haha, don't worry about it Simon. I'm certain you're not alone in your feelings towards the game!
