I ended up writing 3500 words on the level design for Thief II's campaign... it really is some of the best level design and structure I've played.

Quarantine is getting to me. Here's a dumb Jurassic Park video I made Sunday.

Trent Torello is a movie person who was involved in the making of Jurassic Park... in some way!

Did I mention quarantine is getting to me? I made this video about pogs. It's episode #1. There will be more.

Pogs!

Wrote up the final mission of Dishonored's DLC The Knife of Dunwall, and replayed the pack so I could see how things played out for Billie Lurke in low chaos. Looking forward to the Brigmore Witches from next week.

Got some Hitman vibes from the first mission of Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches.

The series has adopted a social stealth approach at other times like in Lady Boyle's Last Party and Billie Lurk's Semblance power, but this was still a very welcome and cool surprise when going back to try these old DLC packs.

I recently finished a short mix of tunes unified by a 'rainy day' theme. some electronic, a lil' beat-centric Jazz, indie rock... even some game music is represented. I tried to cast a wide net stylistically. give it a listen when you're in a mellow mood (or would like to get into one).

cool - thanx for checking it out.
that track is 'Daisuke' by El Huervo, one of those music/art/design do-it-alls who just make you green with envy.

I've uploaded a few mixes lately if anyone is game.

Techsmith - Kinda eclectic. Some videogame music in there... Royksopp, LCD Soundsystem, Kate Bush (yep), KLF, allsorts. Plenty of layers. https://www.mixcloud.com/hazeredmist/dj ... genre-mix/

Fearful Symmetry - Deep drum & bass. Uploaded this one today. https://www.mixcloud.com/hazeredmist/dj ... 20-db-mix/

New Beginnings - Classic LTJ Bukem-style set, atmospheric drum & bass. https://www.mixcloud.com/hazeredmist/dj ... heric-set/

Oh, I listened to the first two of these today and they were wonderful.

The first one may be more accessible as its lots of great classic tunes from all genres.

Get on these people, very good and a much needed break from the usual Spotify wok playlist.

That's every mission in Dishonored and its expansion packs written up and reviewed in one place. Will start Dishonored 2 soon.

This June will mark the third year that I spend the month writing thoughts on video game music. I'm going through a challenge shared by various social media users, notably the Twitter account of OverClocked ReMix, so those of you looking for "Sound of Play except hosted by someone whose opinions you don't care about", I've got you covered.

The preface and write-up for the first day, as well as the entirety of the past two years, are available at https://thirtysongsofjune.wordpress.com/.

A friend who works at Target sent me some pogs they were selling to do an unboxing video with my Pog Review Show. Didn't think it would be a thing in 2020, glad to see new pogs are getting out there!

Shameless promotion for myself. I've been going stir crazy lately and decided to hunker down and teach myself some basic video editing. Two editing platforms, an audio editing platform, five days and ten render attempts later, I finally managed to make my first video.

It's about shopping for games in Hong Kong, how to get to places and even some good places to go.

Please take a look, and don't judge my newb editing skills too harshly.

Oh yeah, sorry for the thumbnail. I tried to choose something but YT wouldn't let me and I ended up with that! :/

Over on my X-Men podcast, we interviewed Eric and Julia Lewald! Eric Lewald was the show runner of the 90's X-Men Animated Series and Julia Lewald wrote on multiple episodes! It was a lot of fun talking to them!
