What a game that was! Gotta feel for Ukraine but if the defending is a wee bit better, I think they get out of there with a draw. Well done Holland anyway.

Predictions for the day:

Scotland 1 - 1 Czech Rep.

Poland 2 - 0 Slovakia

Spain 1 - 2 Sweden

As much as I’d like to see Scotland win, having beaten the Czech’s twice last year, I think they’ll be ready for whatever Scotland have to bring and could be a very nervy/tentative low scoring game.

Also there has to be one upset, I think Sweden could pull it off against the Spanish!

Scotland 2 -1 Czech Republic
Poland 3-0 Slovakia
Spain 0-2 Sweden

-The Scottish team is really strong this year and I fancy them to win here. Soucek to score for the Czech side and a penalty to win it late for the Scots.

-Lewandowski hat trick in polish win

-Sweden to win against toothless Spanish with Zlatan taking credit for the victory despite not playing.

Hope you’re right about Scotland. Doubt it myself but football is a funny ol’ game! My manager is letting us go home after lunch to watch the game so I’ll take that on a Monday!

That’d be some result for Robert.

Hahaaa  Zlatan for top scorer in the tournament. ;)

Scotland 0 - 1 Czech Rep. HT

Scrappy and untidy first half from both teams. Few shots on target but not much to shout about other than that cracking header from big Schick.

Hopefully a more productive second half from Scotland.

Scotland 0 - 2 Czech FT

A performance from a Scotland team who are happily relinquishing the winning, positive forward play for the more passive “just happy to be here” mentality. Can’t take anything away from the 49 yard goal though!

I think Scotland will come bottom of the group based on that performance. If the players can’t psych themselves up in front of the home crowd, I worry how they’ll handle playing at Wembley and if the Croats fail to beat the Czech’s, they’ll go out guns blazing against Scotland, which is never good news!

So disappointed. On paper I really had high hopes and I like Clarke a lot. I hope Scotland get at least a point against England as I really don’t want us winning the group.

What a game so far.

Enjoying some chorizo in red wine, Spanish omelette followed by some Swedish Glace and absolut with vanilla.

If only every country was so delicious.

No idea what Sweden are up to, but they're missing some right sitters!

Sounds good!

I didn’t see the game but what a result for Slovakia!

Not long tuned into this game but looks like a Spanish possession game versus the Swedes counter attack. Berg definitely should’ve scored there though!

Aye, only way I see Scotland getting any points from Friday is if England decide ‘I don’t fancy topping this group’.

It’s definitely Spanish possession but Sweden occasionally look tasty. This feels like a proper tournament match! I’m loving it. I think it may be the best 0-0 I’ve ever seen.

I read my son Moomins tonight to continue my theming.

I bought the book at the Tove Jannson museum Junibacken in Stockholm so I made an assumption. No idea she was Finnish so I’ve learnt something😀

Bonjour; Schöne Grüße; Olá and üdvözlet!

Finally, Group F!

Predictions for today:

Hungary 1 - 2 Portugal

France 1 - 1 Germany

Pretty low scoring day. Obviously I’d rather see some absolute belters in end-to-end attacking play and maybe see France 3 - 4 Germany or something but I just don’t see it. I think Hungary will be hungry (wince) and come out swinging but can’t see past them beating Portugal today. With the other two giants of the group facing off, I think Portugal will recognise this as their best chance to get points on the board.

Can I also predict an excellent day for food and beer (bier) for Simon! :)
