Retroid Pocket 2+ - any tips?

Post by RinseWashRepeat »

Hi guys,

I'm days away from buying myself a Retroid Pocket 2+. Just waiting for payday!

Anyone on the forums got one (or a similar Android device)? Just wondering if you've got any tips or apps that you'd recommend.

So far, I'm basically planning on following Retro Game Crops' guide. (here - https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/01/16/r ... ter-guide/)

So - anyone got tips or thoughts on the device?

I haven't, but let us know how you get on - I've had my eye on one for ages.

I have a 3+, it's pretty nice but can be a bit fiddly to set up. Would be worth looking at some guides on YouTube to get the best out of the system.

I got my Retroid Pocket 2+ a couple of weeks ago, and it’s been awesome.tunnel rush One thing I’d recommend is getting a good file manager app like Solid Explorer. It makes managing your ROMs and other files a breeze.

Thanks for the tip - deffo found it a bit fiddly and basically resorted to chucking everything onto a memory card and managing from my PC.

It's been great though! I'm only playing games up to the PS1 and so far everything's worked perfectly. I couldn't imagine playing anything beyond the PS1 on the screen as it is. Far too small.

But for the price of the thing - it's been great. Currently playing Dino Crisis upscaled and it's just a dream.

If you can put up with the faff of the setup - I highly recommend!
