Gaming Predictions 2025
Inspired by The Computer Game Show and the Back Page Podcast, I thought we could make some gaming predictions for 2025 and see how we have done at the end of the year, if anyone wants to join in? Say, three each? We won't arbitrarily decide whether they're allowed or not like on TCGS, just go with whatever...
Here's mine:
1. There will be at least two new systems added to the Switch Online service which are exclusive to the Switch 2 console. I don't know what, maybe Gamecube, Dreamcast, who knows, but my prediction is two new systems exclusive to the Switch 2.
2. GTA VI will have an RRP of £79.99. Not the special edition or a deluxe edition, the bog-standard release will be eighty quid.
3. Naughty Dog will announce Uncharted is back with Uncharted 5, a new mainline game in the series. Won't be out this year, but they'll announce it.

Of yours I don't think Naughty Dog would announce an Uncharted 5 when they have just announced Intergalatic though I could see Sony announcing an Uncharted 5 but from another developer. With that in mind
1. Sony will announce Uncharted 5 which will be their Christmas game and not developed by Naughty Dog.
2. Half Life 3 will finally be revealed.
3. That Elden Ring spin off that was announced will be Froms lowest scoring game on metacritic.

Re: Gaming Predictions 2025
I always like these threads, even though my predictions of Banjo-Threeie and F-Zero GX HD never materialised
1. GTA6 is delayed to 2026
2. Microsoft will release (or at least announce) their handheld system.
3. Rare's Everwild finally shows up again

They have quite a few games in the 60s and below though.

Re: Gaming Predictions 2025
I like your predictions, but I think GameCube will come to Switch Online for all users, not just Switch 2. I really hope they don’t lock GameCube and Dreamcast behind Switch 2. If they do, I guess I’ll be emulating.
I think GTA VI will be even more expensive, maybe £89.99. Rockstar knows they can push it. As for Uncharted 5, I hope you’re right, but I don’t know if Naughty Dog wants to go back to it.

Re: Gaming Predictions 2025
Ah... They confirmed it at yesterday Direct. GameCube will be locked behind Switch 2. Shame as there's no reason Switch couldn't support it when I can run the games close to perfect on my Android phone!mrwow wrote: April 3rd, 2025, 1:37 pm I like your predictions, but I think GameCube will come to Switch Online for all users, not just Switch 2.
