Xbox live is celebrating it's 10th Birthday by giving away a free game and giving up to 50% off on Live Arcade titles

http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/live/annivers ... 24689&tid=

The free game is only available for 48 hours

At the risk of sounding like a twat I'm annoyed its a bloody Kinect game. Don't have it and have no interest.

I feel the same way - it's a cheesy move by MS.
Also, several of the half price games are good but I have them all already.

A better reward would have been to convert your 'complete years as a LIVE member' into MSP, years x 100 maybe - then I would have had 800 MSP to spend on what I wanted.

It's hardly PS+ is it? I don't actually think MS Xbox division understand the PR disasters they've been dishing out recently. I'm still trying to decide what to spend my 17p birthday present on.

I've had Gold for 9 years. If you are going to celebrate it give away a copy of Halo CE or something meaningful rather than a fucking Kinect game no one wanted in the first place.

Both Halo: Anniversary and Halo: Reach are available digitally, either would have been ideal gifts.

As for the gift, it's a poor choice. Rare from these forums alone is a long time Xbox Live Gold subscriber and the reward of Wreckateer is pointless because, being disabled, he can't play it. It makes a bad reward even worse.

I really want to clone this page and rewrite the message. The last year or so Live hasn't just dropped the ball, it accidently kicked it in an old ladies face when it tried to pick it up.

''You've helped evolve live'' no we haven't we watched you massacre the dashboard so it's full of crap and everything's difficult to find. Muppet

Wreckateer is also a bit rubbish and a poor example of what the last 10 years has given dedicated Xbox gamers. :?

There are plenty of things to be critical about Microsoft for over this but I actually quite like Wreckateer. Being a massive Angry Birds fan helps in this case.

Wow stirred up a hornets nest with that one
I don't own Kinect myself but downloaded it anyhow just incase I get it in the future, looks like it could be a fun game to play when you've got friends round.

Ha ha, our ire is directed squarely at Microsoft, Guy. Grateful for your heads-up regardless!

Not sure what the deal will be but Hitman Absolution is going on Amazons Black Friday deals at 12pm on both formats. If last years anything to go by it could be up to 50%.

*edit

Deal was gone in less than 30 seconds on both formats they must've only had 5 copies of each! ;)

The deal was 33% off so £22.99.

WWE13 & Resi 6 are hitting the amazon Black Friday today.

Edit

Resi 6 is £14.97 and not selling, says a lot about the game.
