Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
A slightly out there suggestion but I think FMV adventure games have been underrepresented.
Tex Murphy: Pandora Directive
A hugely important game in my gaming history and I think it’s still incredible.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
We have a couple of FMV game fans on the team, though I’m not among them I have to say.
I am unfamiliar with this particular title but I will of course add it to the list!

It’s undoubtably cheesy but an absolute delight to play. It’s got respectable gog.com, steam and metacritic scores to boot.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Does anyone have any suggested iOS apps which can cater for more than 300 podcasts?
I can’t seem to get the RSS feed to allow any more than 300. Is this an apple restriction?

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Unfortunately it is.
They are all still available to download and stream from the website however.

I don't think it's just an Apple thing, as on my Android app (Beyond Pod) it doesn't go all the way back to episode 1 either. The earliest I can see right now is #34, Bulletstorm. But you can import audio files to my app so if you download from the website you get the podcast player features (skip 10 seconds, remember where you'd got to etc.) although I don't know whether that facility exists within the Apple Podcasts app it's worth looking in to as unless you're listening to the whole show in one go it's a pain to have to scroll back to where you'd got to every time you listen.Simonsloth wrote: ↑February 18th, 2018, 5:27 pm Does anyone have any suggested iOS apps which can cater for more than 300 podcasts?

I recommend Pocket Casts for Android. Might cost a couple of quid these days but no feed issues, saves progress across everything I've listened to across different devices which is cool to pick up on something in the car which I listened to in bed on the tablet. That kind of thing.

I very much second this suggestion. No regrets paying a small amount for a superior platform.Stanshall wrote: ↑February 19th, 2018, 10:14 am I recommend Pocket Casts for Android. I know it'll already be on the list, but just adding a vote for What Remains Of Edith Finch!

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Just a reminder that we don’t pick games by ‘votes’!
Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I know I didn't really mean a vote as such A nomination!
EDIT: Which was pointless as it'll already be on the list. Point taken!

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I have a feeling this is almost a pointless suggestion for me to make as it seems to be loved by the C&R team and will probably be covered sooner or later but Nier Automata is one of the most fascinating experiences I have ever had with video games and certainly gets my nomination for a future episode!

I think it’s been on the list since before it was released in fact.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
This isn't a specific request, I'm just wondering if there's talk about covering other Tenchu games.
Really enjoyed the episode!

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
I'm not sure anyone on the team wants to go near a Tenchu game ever again...

The Podcast App by Evolve Global, Inc.
I’ve answered my own question. This app allows you to listen to all podcasts beyond the 300 most other apps restrict you to. (On iOS devices at least)
Not the best app but you can’t have it all

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Ah, those heady days of having previous volumes to go back to when you first discover C&R.
What a time to be alive.
