Ghouls N Ghosts - No Death - Arcade World ROM

Post by OneCreditBen »

I don't say this very often, but there's part of this that I think are as good as I can play to be honest with you.

I still don't think my obsession with this game is over, but that's a massive milestone for me in terms of clears and achievement runs.

That's really impressive!

Quick question. I'm getting a bit confused with the different versions of this game floating out there. I have the Capcom Classics Collection on PS2 which incorporates Ghouls'n Ghosts. Is that the same version as this one or are there any noticeable differences between the two?

The version on that compilation is the World ROM set, same as what Ben was rinsing here.

Other than that...

Played this again last night on Hardest Difficulty.
Had a few fun attempts then set up recording just to see what happens.
Got a really good one credit clear that I might put out at some point as a bonus video.
Thanks for all the kind words and positive comments. You people are amazing.

Ben this is ludicrous. I don’t think I’ve heard to swear so much as you did at the end! Well done.

I would encourage anyone interested in Ben’s efforts to join his Patreon (obviously Cane and Rinse’s too). You get a nice mug and little welcome pack complete with tea bags (nice one!)

It’s amazing how British this is.

“Fuck right off! Right time for a bit of tea.”

Loved it.

I hit a good one credit clear on the Japanese Rom last night.
I don't think I'll stop playing this game somehow.
It's got a hold of me, and I don't think I'll ever get loose.
I don't know what it is about it, but it's just magic. I'll keep trying to get better, I'm sure there's more I can do with this.

There's a load of swearing isn't there hahaha.
It has that effect on me somehow! Thanks for the Patreon support! It's a load of fun doing games for the Saturday bonus videos!

It's as British as it gets isn't it hahaha.
All it was missing was me colonising India and standing with a door open for someone.
These games are such a big part of the channel, they always get me!

For the record I've got another clear out on Monday on this.
It's so weird, because every time get a clear done, I get an idea of something else that I could do or another set of stipulations etc. Playing Ghosts N Goblins at Arcade Club on Saturday got me really back into the whole series. I honestly thought this was over, I guess I was wrong...

I very nearly cleared Daimakaimura (Japanese Version) without dying the other day.

I think I could do World Rom Deathless.

After that who knows, maybe some weapon only clears would be fun as well.

By the skin of your teeth, this one. Very well done!

That pit death absolutely slayed me.
I can do this whole thing better, I'll never stop wanting to get better at it somehow.
I want to get Daimakaimura no death, or maybe 1cc Hardest Difficulty.
You know the drill my friend, it's all about Mental Stamina.
