Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
First page updated with peoples new levels.
Really good stuff guys, people are putting together some wonderful challenges with clear design and playability improvements with each new level - RAD.
It took me three days to beat SJeebers level, three days.
It killed me it did.
I don't generally enjoy these type of levels and have a very low skill level myself but I set my target on this one to learn and beat it.
Well, I eventually beat it this morning. Now I can carry on with my life again .
Give it a go people, its very good and very hard !!

That’s true! I think I was suffering from sufficient cackhandedness to mean I ended up struggling, but it’s one I’ve been meaning to go back to when I’m less tired. I do remember enjoying the concept a great deal.Suits wrote: ↑July 13th, 2019, 5:46 pmNice mate, cool little idea .BearFishPie wrote: ↑July 13th, 2019, 5:10 pm A new course from me, and my first attempt at a puzzle level. Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
Right then, I’ve remembered why I gave up on Dino DNA before - I had completely forgotten you can climb vines and was regarding them as backdrop, so didn’t shin up them after the lava room. I instead kept timing out trying to jump/slide jump my way to the upper area. I used the checkpoint but as it resets you without the key I’m not sure if restarting from there would make it hellishly difficult to beat the level, given what comes nearer the end...
I loved the way the level loops back to the Bob-omb wall sandwich in a very Metroidy fashion, which the minor key slightly oppressive aesthetics fit very nicely!

Just came across this level when searching through the new levels tab:
Escape the Fortress
HRC-BCY-MTG
I really enjoyed it and thought y’all might as well.

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
I've ordered this today. I honestly expect to be awful at making levels, but am willing to give it a go.
Thanks so much Suits for creating this thread, and everyone else in here for contributing; it's great to have a ready-made list of CaR community levels to try (and fail miserably at).
I presume I'm best off starting with the Nintendo-made levels?

I've got 5 levels left of story mode and it's well hard! Really enjoyed it though, looking forward to resuming the community stuff soon

My newest offering.
F0S-NG0-32H
Good luck.....It’s easily my hardest yet. I’m sure you all will destroy it but I had a ton of fun making it.

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
SMM2 arrived today. Played through the first 20 levels of Story Mode, and followed everyone who's got a level listed in the first post.
dezm0nd has already had to remind me to read the damned instructions before playing each level, because I'm an eejit. Also already come up against several levels that have made a mockery of my Mario skills. This is going to be fun!

Great to see new people coming to the game, its doing really well in the sales chats - which is wonderful to see.
I'm having few weeks off after putting in over 50 hours in during the first week - but I'll be back .

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
Mario Maker Update 2.0 lands on the 5th December as a free content update.
It adds lots of new items, enemies and Link as a power up, with his slew of Master Sword, bombs and bow and arrow.
There’ll be some awesome levels made with these new tools !!

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
This update is pretty cool, but making a Link based level seems pretty time consuming. I'm going to try to build a good one for the twentieth. Anybody else interested in an arbitrary deadline for swapping level codes to get the juices flowing?
Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
That’s not a bad idea dude.
Although, it’ll be hard for me to commit to making something that I’m happy with by a certain date - I may end up rushing it you see.
Looking forward to playing yours though .

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
Just managed a 19 second run on this weeks Ninji speed run challenge (Rolling Snowballs).
Which puts me at 8080 globally.
Taken me hours it had but man, it was so much fun.
Had a quick look at the new mode last night and haven’t been able to ignore it since.
I love this game.

Hey man, I noticed your level was up on your profile and really enjoyed it.Toon Scottoon wrote: ↑December 6th, 2019, 10:15 pm This update is pretty cool, but making a Link based level seems pretty time consuming.
The final room I figured out was the bomb-track room, but each puzzle was fun to figure our and get through.
Keep them coming !!!
I made a new little level also.

I put a new one together too. Finished five days before my fake little deadline I was having so much fun with the new Link stuff. Here's the code.

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**
I've been enjoying fast paced jumping platform levels of late, so decided to give making one a go.
It would be great it people would give it a go.
I also managed to finish with gold in the 2nd Ninji Spederun, which once again has given me a wonderful ring of gold stars around my avatar.
This speedrun was made using the new Link items and to be honest I didn't enjoy it as much as I do the classic Mario move sets.
I find with Link's move sets for his arrows, bombs, etc... it can make the controls too fiddly to do in a speedrun - but I persevered and set a quick enough time for the gold
