Re: What's Out This Week?
I am looking forward to Dr Mario on mobile but the trailers make it look very free to play. I really hope it’s not just another matching game with a Nintendo veneer.
Re: What's Out This Week?
Have you played it before?

Re: What's Out This Week?
Ultimate Alliance 3 I have strong hopes for. It’s not the same developer as the originals... but the new developer is one with a good track record so...
We shall see.

Re: What's Out This Week?
If you find a good ARPG then let me know. I never got into Torchlight 2 but hearing it's coming to consoles excites me
Re: What's Out This Week?
I assume you guys are looking for the more traditional Diablo-like ARPG? If not, you could always try Rebel Galaxy or Star Traders Frontiers (the latter not on console).
I would recommend the king - the king! - of all ARPGs, Mount & Blade Warband, which is available on console now as well (and is a fiver), but that's probably not what you are after.
Victor Vran or Van Helsing then? I haven't played either.
Ahaha, nice one! I enjoyed this myself, for probably the same reasons. I only spent 8 hours or so with it though.
Re: What's Out This Week?
I’ll probably cave and buy marvel ultimate alliance.

Re: What's Out This Week?
Yeah, they’re Gauntlet/Diablo/Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance type affairs.
Re: What's Out This Week?
Which seem great for the first few hours then tail off for me dramatically.
I think unless I’m playing online with mates Lego chatting the whole time, I don’t enjoy those sort of games.

Re: What's Out This Week?
On the ‘games like diablo’ front, probably best to avoid the Warhammer 40k one “Inquisitor’. It’s fun enough, but still feels like massive wasted potential and there are better games out there.
Path of Exile for example.

Re: What's Out This Week?
Someone said there's a gaming drought on......?
Re: What's Out This Week?
Jaysus....
Mutant Year Zero is very good, if a little one-note (the idea is you can sneak around the map taking out the satellite baddies first, before engaging the main group in turn-based combat).
I imagine Super Mega Baseball 2 is very good, though I still haven't bought it myself. Perfect for Switch as it is pick up and play.
Tetris Effect's price point is not being received well by PC gamers.....

Re: What's Out This Week?
Really hopeful for Wolfenstein. Enjoyed all the new ones so far
Re: What's Out This Week?
I've been hearing some very positive rumblings about Lucah: Born of a Dream for a long time. It seems like something worth taking a look at, but I'm not too sure on it myself. Supposedly it covers some very unique topics, and has some interesting gameplay ideas too. It has a very striking look to it too, but that's something that I'm not entirely sure I'm on board with. The game clearly looks exactly how it was intended, but it's somewhat visually abrasive. It also seems like it's not a particularly forgiving game too. But I might give it a shot anyway.

Re: What's Out This Week?
You absolutely don’t need VR to love Tetris Effect.
Re: What's Out This Week?
Totally agree. After the initial excitement of playing it in VR, I've since settled for the 4K HDR experience every time. It's a stunning flat screen game.
