What is the post-hype verdict on this? It looks very pretty for sure.
It's brilliant. Really, absolutely brilliant game. Get it!

I just like having a huge library to fall back on if I ever feel like something different. Loads of times I've browsed my PS4 'purchased' library looking for something to play and came across stuff I literally didn't know I had, which had been on PS+ at some point and I'd idely added to my collection. I've discovered a few gems that way.
I would say the bad thing about ps+ is that if you let it lapse or cancel it all the ps+ games are then unavailable to you which is obviously the opposite to GWG
Huh really? I always assumed if your Gold sub lapsed you lose access to the games. Is that not so?

It used to be that you kept 360 games but not Xbox One games. Not sure if this has changed.

My opinion of GoW sits somewhere between Alex’s and Stanshall’s, FWIW (closer to Alex’s but more of a 7-8 out of 10 for me).

This month's Humble Bundle has both Spyro and Crash, plus a Call of Duty. I'm grabbing those trilogy packs!

The PC contingent probably already know this, but MS Game Pass for PC is only EUR 3.99 a month, and EUR 1.00 for the introductory month.

There are a few things on there I'd like to try, so I signed up :(

I just picked up Mudrunners which has been on my PS4 wishlist for ages now. It was £6.99 in the sale, but a bit of credit on my account meant I only ended up having to pay £1.80 real money :) Looking forward to giving it a try. What with this and Shenmue 2 on my current play list (for PS4, not counting Switch stuff here) I'm all about the plodding along doing mundane tasks games at the moment. It's a nice change of pace.

Speaking of Shenmue 2, I'm really loving it. I started it last year and thought I got quite far, but started again and managed to catch up to where I was in about five hours! I'm really interested in Shenmue 3 now, there's a lot to be said for games in which you don't feel rushed or pressured, or even particularly challenged.

Yes!

Even better!

It's one you could bounce off very easily. I would say to try to fulfill the objectives on the first map before casting it aside; you'll know by that stage if it clicks.

Good game, although I did prefer Origins without all that moving platform touch screen stuff.

Darkest Dungeon Tablet Edition seems to be half off (5.5 EUR), at least on iOS right now, for a jolly good time.

The Escapists is a timely Epic Game Store freebie this week (12th-19th December), after the announcement of The Survivalists during the Nintendo Indie Direct earlier this week.

Also, both Epic and Steam are having The Games Awards-related sales today and tomorrow (12th-13th December).
