Oh yeah, no qualms here - just some folk might baulk at £20+ for a "simple" "retro" game.

I’d say there’s more depth to the mechanics in 4 than 2, I’m finding things each time I play. Admittedly a lot of it comes from my street fighter 4/5 muscle memory, they’ve borrowed a lot of things from there that you don’t see that often in belt scrollers.

(I do like final fight as well, but it’s probably the weakest game in that Capcom beat em up collection)

Did you get G-Loc in the end? Is it worth getting would you say?

Thoroughly recommend Lonely Mountains: Downhill on Switch if it looks vaguely interesting to you at all (and you don’t have access to Game Pass).

Legends of Runeterra (the hearthstone style card game based on league of legends) is out of beta now and also available on iOS and android as well as the pc. It is... actually pretty good.

I got the JPN Hatsune Miku release a while back, it's great fun. Less God Tier than Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party but one of my favourites so far this year. I hope my version gets an English patch, but I suspect it won't.

I don't think the latest Hamster releases are ever included on this round-up. They tend to announce the latest releases on social media around Wednesday/Thursday.

I've noticed a lot of these "full" lists arent full at all.

I had to add Ion Fury myself! Too many digital releases to possibly manage it all

Looks like we're getting deep into "Is anything coming out?" territory. Lots of re-releases, DLC and expansion content there.

I'm excited for Apex Season 5, but I really wish Respawn and EA were a little more forthcoming about balance changes and Battle Pass content BEFORE the season comes out, so I actually had a reason to feel hyped. In particular, Wraith and Pathfinder are in chronic need of a nerf; there are 12 Legends and the usage stats have Wraith being used in 26% of matches, Pathfinder in 21%, and the rest ranging from 3-8%. Wraith in particular has a very small hitbox and is frustrating to play against. It's kinda like in a TCG where one card is so utterly OP that every deck carries it, and you have to plan around countering that one card instead of devising your own strategy.

But anyway, I digest. Looks like Ill be waiting til September at least to get a game I'm excited for. Cyberpunk, baybeeeeee. And No More Heroes 3 and Way To The Woods, but those still lack firm release windows.

And i swear half of them exist solely to obscure games actually worth one's time.

They do at least put out patch notes for Apex, admittedly usually after the patch is already live. I’ve played online games where they don’t even do that...

Mafia 2 Remastered is also out today.

It was being accidentally given away for free on the Malaysian PSN store but by the time I'd made an account they'd caught it :(
