Haha my Nintendo nickname is coming up which is Daddy (as I play with my kids on the switch). Just wanted to make everyone knows it’s not their actual dad joining in.

Well that was really fun. I was absolutely terrible but I didn’t finish last every time so that’s something. I’d be up for another of these for sure!

That was great fun. I came everywhere from 1st (twice!) to 9th in races and came 3rd in 2 of the cup standings. Rhaegyr and Joel were a level above the rest of us

My favourite bit was green shelling Dez on the final straight on Bowser's Castle to win. :D

Really enjoyed that! Felt a lot of races went to the wire.

In fairness me and Joel have played Mario Kart every Sunday with our other halves and a few other couples since the pandemic started so we've had a ton of recent practice!

The 'Shells Only' at the start threw me, glad that was changed :D

Yeah, that was a lot of fun! Stinks I had to leave and go back to work, but it was great and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

And to whoever dropped that bomb at the very end of the Excitebike track, your days are numbered, friend.

Thanks to everyone who made it tonight! I loved it. An hour of pure madness.

I will be organising one a month until the podcast recording for vol. 11.

Stay tuned.

Was supposed to be Frantic items to light a fire under our bellies but accidentally did shells!

It still got me riled up in a good way though.

Don't look at me, I spent most of that race near the back. :)

Pretty sure I got lapped on Baby Park too even though I finished 4th.

Hats off to Joel and Rhaegyr. Incredible racing from those two.

It took me a while to warm up and I held my own for some of it but seeing those two was fantastic.

I think I got enough of an angle to avoid the banana skin you were hanging out the back of your cart. I immediately hit record on the Switch. :)

Ah man, fuck sake :( Put the kids to bed, came down and stuck my Xbox on as normal and totally forgot about this, I was looking forward to it as well :(

Hope you guys had a good time, anyway. Can't believe I forgot it.

Great fun last night

Would definitely be game for another session. Typically Rhaegyr won the most races. As he said we've been playing once a week for a while and he usually kicks my ass.

Everyone's racing looked like they got better once they had settled in.

Baby park is just mayhem. Getting lapped on that one is a common thing. All it takes is a bad corner followed by a bad hit. A bomb's only on that track would be hilarious.

I’m going to practice a little bit in the meantime as it wasn’t until the end I realised I didn’t actually know the right buttons and had been jumping into corners thinking I was braking! Didn’t improve my positions at all as being 5th/6th near the end lead to 3-4 bullet bills whizzing past sending me down the leaderboard!

Was great fun!
