Seems like a busy time for games (for me) as i'm definitely adding Age of Empires 2 to my gamepass list. Allegedly it supports KB+M but i'm always curious how they map stuff like that to a controller

Wow, wonder why there's such a big list this week! I'll be trying Atomic Heart, and also interested in Wild Hearts, but will wait for a sale/Gamepass for that one.

EDIT: Ah, it's PSVR 2 week, that makes sense now.

It was a bit much adding PSVR2 titles of games that were already out but I'm not that precious to remove them. Haha

Got my pre order in for it. As a tip for everyone if you plan to get it, probably best to pre order it because I saw news stories of it being scalped in the USA over the weekend.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation surrounding Metroid Prime Remastered, but here's what I think is happening based on my education in supply chain management:
Quite simply, the game was shadow dropped. Having a mere 2 week turnaround between production and delivery to retail is absolutely insane, and that timeline will be further impeded by nasty weather in Canada and the northern US (possibly Europe too, I don't follow the weather there). For Nintendo to meet demand, they would not only have to pinpoint rough sales numbers, but have the logistics capacity to deliver that.

So a few other things:
1. This game is not a limited release. People keep saying it is, but it's literally not. I confirmed with my local Microplay, and they are still able to order copies.
2. Online retailers are overloaded. Because this was announced in a digital presentation, people slammed digital retailers (mostly Amazon) and skewed preorder numbers harder. This is why so many people are seeing delivery dates in March and April. Amazon's software is estimating expected delivery. What people DON'T understand is that brick and mortar stores have had extra copies in stock since as early as Feb 13, with most receiving through the day on Feb 22.
3. People are panic buying. As bad as Nintendo is for FOMO shit, that's actually not deliberate this time. This is a pretty standard, unlimited release. But because people have been trained to panic buy, scalpers have an "in".

Tl;Dr version:
Metroid Prime Remastered is not a limited release, and if you want a copy, literally just be patient. Supply chain is a complicated beast, and distribution takes time.

Yeah that's is useful to know. FWIW I pre ordered just because I wanted it day one, I only found out about people scalping it a few days after pre ordering. But I will let others know all the above and just be patient.

Not that I'm interested in wrestling but I saw that WWE 2K23 is supposed to be a huge return to form looking at the reviews.

I'm really concerned about the rate Supermassive is releasing their horror games. The Dark Pictures series was steadily improving in quality before it took a nosedive with the 4th one (The Devil In Me). The Quarry, released only a few months earlier, was a far more polished and better developed game, and it was clearly the project they invested their greatest effort into.

To see a flagship title, a shockingly low-quality anthology entry, and a VR game, all released in the same year... Let's just say, this was a studio I used to expect quality from with every release, and that's no longer the case. And I say that as someone whose 2021 GOTY was House of Ashes.
