She kind of likes it, I guess.
Christmas crackers!
I may go back one day and play the trilogy through again. Maybe.
Perhaps I'll feel differently about ME3 without the anticipation that ME2 being my 2010 GotY caused.

Story is not as good in 3, its a case of tying up all the loose ends before the end of the game. Tuchanka's the stand out section, don't think it gets any better than that in my opinion. Still one of my favourite series of all time though even if 3 soured it a bit (day one DLC, multiplayer, etc)
damn, i literally just did Tuchanka yesterday and it was good, but if that's the highlight....
might just grind through the rest of the game, and screw the side stuff

Roughly done the maths and assuming an average 25 hour play through, that's a solid month non-stop. Help her Sean, show her other games exist!
Haha, she just skips every single dialogue scene now, as she knows them in-and-out, so, they aren't quite as lengthy as a normal playthrough would be.
I've tried to show her other games, but, it's the Mass Effect combat that she gets on with so much. Catherine is the only other game she's played this year. I think the ability to freeze the combat with power wheels is key. Does anyone have any suggestions for games with that option? There have to be others!
Anything Star Wars would be a real hard sell for her, and, we've tried Dragon Age 2 a couple times, but, neither of us could really get into it. I understand Origins is significantly better though, so, maybe we should give that another shot.
VC could be a possibility. I've never played it myself, tbh.
Because KOTOR was set well away from the films, it kind of does it's own thing, so if she isn't into the films you can say it isn't really related at all. You can see the direct lineage that lead to Mass Effect too, though all combat is all clicking abilities based (no aiming etc).
Fallout has VATS? Final Fantasy's turn based combat (though I'm no expert on that series)?
I still haven't finished Mass Effect 3. I just don't have any enthusiasm for it, which is a real shame as the original and ME2 were such fantastic games.
Anyway, playing too much at the moment, as per usual. Just finished 10000000 on iphone, enjoying Guild Wars 2 way too much and about to dive back into Darksiders 2. Older games keep getting in the way though - I should really set Saints Row 2/3 and Binary Domain out of sight until I get caught up on what I need to finish - Dust, Risen 2, The Witcher 2, and so many RPG games your head would spin. Sideways. Then screw itself off.
Also playing Mark of the Ninja. Gameplay seems fine, really don't like the character designs much.
Yeah Rocket Riot is fun in a sapdash sort of way. I happily paid 800MSP for it upon release.
I absolutely caned 10000000 from Friday until I finished it last night. I went on a few more runs today and I have built/unlocked/crafted everything, so the game exists for me as purely a high score game now. On to Plague Inc. next, iPhone-wise.
For me, Mass Effect 2 is a better game than 3. There was so much potential for 3 to be a fine-send off, but in the end it didn't pay off. And a Multiplayer mode I had no interest in.
Spent most of the day on Rock Band Blitz. Was a bit unsure playing the demo, and the whole "earn coins by Facebook to buy powerups" sounded a bit bollocks. But with all the tracks in Rock Band 1, and my DLC collection, I've got plenty of Coins to spend without fannying about with Facebook.

Start in a country with air and sea ports; upgrade only the air transmission and sea transmission abilities, then devolve any symptom mutations as they occur so that it's never discovered until all countries are infected and the rate of infection is high enough that they can't fight it fast enough, nor will you accidentally evolve it to a fatal stage before the entire planet can be infected.
Decided to continue Tales of the Abyss last night, managed to get a little stuck finding the waypoint so had a quick look online.
The first answer simply said *mega spoiler, may as well sell it on ebay* (at least that's my approximation of it) and now I'm absolutely gutted, at only 5 hours into the game I've got no idea if this will thankfully sort itself out in an hour or if it's 40 hours into the game. Tried to sleep it off but it's sunk in too deep. Fuckin' internet!

I picked up Forza 4 at the weekend, despite saying I was going to skip it and wait for 5 before returning to the franchise.
Anyway, I've been really enjoying it. Yeah, it could be argued that it's Forza 3.5 but there are enough tweaks and new elements to keep me happy. I particularly like the revised career mode and also the livelier handling model.
There's a lot of talk about what people want from the "next gen". As far as games such as Forza, I don't necessarily want more polygons, I want better AI. Hopefully, with the extra grunt at the disposal of the next PlayStation and Xbox, devs will be able to accommodate impressive handling physics, stellar visuals AND intelligent AI.
