Must pick up Kirby. The Wii U should have a coin slot for these 30p games - I can't believe that the cost covers more than the credit/debit card charge!

A software update and throwing us Wii U owners a Rayman-shaped consolation bone? It's a veritable feast! ;)

Nintendo have announced a great deal for 3DS fans!

Taken from the Eurogamers.
ORIGINAL STORY: If you register three of eight Nintendo 3DS games you'll get another free.

That's a new and decent-looking Nintendo promotion called So Many Games! that begins tomorrow, 23rd April 2013, and should help ease the strain on wallets for those enjoying the current boon in quality titles for the handheld.

The eight games included are:

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Nintendo 3DS version)
Luigi's Mansion 2
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Register any three with Club Nintendo by 30th June 2013 and you will get a free download code for any one of the remaining five titles. Alternatively, you can select one you've already registered for the promotion to gift to a friend.

The small print: the request of the download code must be completed by 31st July 2013. The code expires on 31st December 2013. There's more on the promotion's official website.

Such a good deal; which I'll never get to take advantage of, with such a limited window.

I think this deal is EU only, right?

I've already got Luigi and Fire Emblem so I'm in for this deal but I can't decide what game to buy and which one to have free. Both Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter seem like good choices to keep on the SD card and I really want DK and Castlevania but I've heard bad/mixed things about the frame rate of those.

I wouldn't judge DKCR until its released. Chances are the build available at the show isn't up to date and frame rate is almost always the last thing to get spit polished.

Of course. I'm going to wait andfind out. I would pre order it based on the quality of the Wii version but I'm going to wait for a review now.
Some places are claiming it's locked at 30fps. If that's true of the final game I'll buy it.

I'll probably get it anyway because buttons.

A friend has offered me his 3DS with Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario 3D land and Pilotwings all for £160 and I can't decide whether to go for it or not.

Would you guys consider this a good deal?

He's used it at most five or six times so the console is basically as new.

One of those siutations where I know the deal is good but need that extra push to convince me to go for it ;-).

Super Mario 3D Land was quite probably the best game I played last year. Does that help?

Check if he got the ambassador games too, with that line up it's quite likely and the GBA games are a good 100+ hours of classic games to boot bumping it into instabuy territory.

Quite sure a few of you saw the news already but ASDA are now offering the Wii U Basic and Premium models at £149 and £199 respectively. Had a quick look on Amazon and the basic is selling for £149 making it an early birthday present I can't really refuse.

Any idea if it's worth dropping the extra £50 on the premium given my abundance of 1TB external hard drives and bunch of 32GB+ usb sticks? Tempted by Nintendo Land but not at a premium (pardon the pun).

The basic is fine, really. If you have external HDDs then there's not really much point other than Nintendo Land which is great in multiplayer but it'll be cheap before you know it.

I can claim my 'So Many Games!' game now.
I'm struggling to decide. My options are Monster Hunter 3 or Animal Crossing.
Help!

Thanks
