Wild. I was expecting a better spec machine for a bit more money, instead they're releasing a lower spec machine for less money. Bizarre, considering the consoles were cheap as chips anyway. If I'm honest, I don't really get this. Still, I hope they sell and support Evercade further.
(I might even pick up a VS seeing as it's bundled with a cart which will have an RRP of about £22, meaning the console will effectively cost next to nothing!
Best announcement for me was something they hid away at the bottom of an article - a TATE grip for the handhelds.

Looks like the first 'giga-cart' is going to be Tomb Raider trilogy. To be honest I have absolutely no interest in playing these games now, but it's certainly interesting. If they run alright on the Evercade it opens up a lot of exciting possibilities.
Must admit, they look very nice, seem reasonably priced and would be a great way to play the arcade carts I've collected. Will I buy one though? Aaah, probably not. The novelty would likely soon wear off and I'd go back to the handheld EXP. A slightly larger screen might have swayed me.
Excellent idea. Bar top arcade system which plays cartridges!
I like that they exist.

I've been a bit disappointed with Evercade lately. Their quality control seems to be taking a dip and I've now had four bum carts I've had to send back. Also, the new EXP-R isn't exactly getting glowing reviews with poor build quality and significant light bleed being mentioned online. Worst of all though is their lack of stock. I had new carts on order for two months and then when release day comes Amazon finally admit they've not got the stock to send them out to me. This is the fourth time now I've been let down with Evercade pre-orders. Difficult to know who's to blame. Amazon shouldn't be taking more orders than they have stock allocated for, but Evercade ought to be sending out more copies. Either way, it's left an awful lot of consumers without their cartridges over the last couple of days.

I must own half a dozen versions of the first game but I am really pleased, nonetheless, that Broken Sword 1 and 2 are coming to Evercade in a double pack. Will I play the first game for the nth time? Absolutely. But I'm also excited to play through the second game for only the second time. Releasing next month.

The video isn't working for me, but I saw the news today about dip switches finally being added which I am delighted about!

It's not Evercade, but this looks cool. $75 handheld specifically designed for DS and vertical arcade games. If it's easily available in the UK for a decent price I'd be very tempted!
