Aye, it literally was people joining people in the friends bit in-game.

Seeing as though it's tomorrow, I have created a Tournament Lobby for us to enter at free will but ideally, only use it for tomorrow nights shenanigans.

Just type that in under the 'Tournament' menu in the Mario Kart 8 online options. Alternately you can just join in by searching for Cane and Rinse or by joining one of us who are in-game. The code isn't essential to getting in.

If anything I have a feeling we might be oversubscribed. In reality that may not turn out to be the case though. Can always open up a second lobby if that does happen.

I'm still unsure as to whether I will make tonight, but I'll certainly be trying and will add people if/when I get on.

Thanks to all that made it to the game night! It has some weird design choices in there which I wish I was in control of more but ultimately it was great fun. I didn't expect their to be separate rooms in one tournament!

The multiple lobby thing is good in that it coped when we were over-subscribed. Problem is when people start to drift away you end up with two less-than-full sets of races, and without simple comms it's hard to consolidate.

Whatever happened it was a blast! Can't wait for the next one, really had my heart pounding on the first race and that win nearly knocked me out of the tournament early but every race was exciting. Great work doods, really successful game night!
