I'm a few hours into Pentiment and while I wouldn't go so far to give it a 10/10, it's one of the stronger games I've played this year, a very absorbing well researched story and setting.

Reviews I've seen cite great gameplay but deplorable story, writing and character development. Generally recommended with a, "If you're here for mechanics, play it, if you're here for story, skip it."

Very much looking forward to the next-gen Witcher 3 upgrade. I never actually finished the DLCs or did very much of either and I'm in the mood for sinking into a game world. Been a fairly tough couple of months, my wife's been in hospital but coming home this week. Will be lovely to sit and play this while she snoozes next to me.

Edit: Yep, looks pretty smart. Obviously gone with the 60fps mode which makes everything perceptibly sharper. It doesn't seem like a massive improvement compared to something like TLOU1, which obviously was a full-priced game rather than a patch, but it's brought it relatively up to speed.
