Much like the presumptions of Overwatch, I was kinda surprised to see Amiibo Festival being released at £40 with two amiibo. I thought it was a DLC affair in which you download a shell and add boards as you see fit and use your amiibo to play.
Weird.

Jon Hare has done a Kickstarter for Sociable Soccer! I bet you can't guess what kind of game it'll be?

Hmm, I'm not so sure about this. It'll be interesting to see how well it does. I predict huge Kickstarter support, followed by quite poor sales once it's actually released.

That would be my prediction also.

It's a bit of a rubbish name, despite its obvious references.

Of all the old classic Amiga games, the one series I'd love to see remade, which has never for some reason even been talked about, is Cannon Fodder. I'd absolutely love that to make a come back. Also, maybe an episode of C&R on the series would be great too....!? (Unsubtle hint).

Karl and I discussed this one recently. It is on the list but it's such a bugger to actually complete (I've only seen the first third of the game).
Maybe some day, but not in the next 50 shows, sorry.

Cannot Fodder 2 is also unbelievably hard. One of the hardest games on the Amiga.

Yeah I don't think I ever completed the original. I got pretty far, but then hit a rock hard snow level and never got past it.

It's not looking too promising so far! It doesn't look like they'll actually get funded at this rate.

Kickstarters usually get most of their monies in during the last week but to be honest, it's a bit ill thought out to start a KS campaign during gaming's busiest season.
I can't justify spending money on a game I won't see for ages!

Thing is, people seemed to really enjoy our Sensi Soccer podcast, but how many people who listened to it have actually gone rushing back to the game on XBLA, emulation or GOG - or even one of the many free clones that we mentioned?
Ultimately - apart from the likes of CJ - most people, if they're honest with themselves, would probably rather actually play PES or FIFA in 2015/16.

I just remembered a game I used to love on my old Amstrad, Codemasters 4 Soccer Simulators. It was four games in one, normal football, indoor football, street football (which saw obstacles like cars etc on the play area) and a game doing various football training and skills exercises. It had a look of Kick Off and Sensi about it, although didn't play nearly as well. Anyone else remember this?

I remember it being reviewed (badly) but I never played it. Four games for £4.99, bound to be a classic!
Folk still seem to remember the indoor mode from FIFA RttWC 98 fondly.
I'm not sure how well the last version of FIFA Street in 2012 did though..?

Deus Ex delayed six months

Better to wait and get a better game though I suppose!

Ah that's a shame it's been delayed but ultimately it should make for a better experience. I really enjoyed Human Revolution and I hope this can exceed my love for that.

PS4 remote play working on PC. Doesn't seem to be officially supported but hopefully Sony might see it and take it on? I can't see this being abused in the workplace at all!
