Both Not a Hero and Crypt of the Necrodancer have been dated for PSN, going up on the 2nd of Feb.

Crypt of the Necrodancer will be cross play which is good news however Roll7 had to cancel the Vita version of Not a hero - http://www.roll7.co.uk/#!BunnyLord-anno ... e37c6faf68

I've been looking forward to the PS4 versions of these for a while now so cant wait to get my hands on them

Not sure if this counts as news, but I just read a few of The Witness reviews that are coming out and that game is getting a lot of critical acclaim. Hearing that Jonathan Blow was making a 40+ hour puzzle game and the fact that it was delayed so much made me assume the worst was going to happen with his second outing, but it seems like he pulled it off (at least for all of the early reviewers). Much more interested in this now than I was yesterday.

There's a new Pikachu game coming. He's a Detective now!

Why is Pikachu a detective? Not that I mind lol it's a fun idea for a game and I wanna try it.

It came out of nowhere and took the internet by storm. They only revealed it recently, right? And it's being released in Japan next week. I'm surprised it wasn't leaked before that.

Nintendo have been exceedingly good at keeping things secret. Recently there have been a few slip ups (eshop data for Twilight Princess HD, Smash data mining finding Ryu) but they still manage to keep a lot of things to themselves until they're ready. They've done this approach of sunrise announcement followed by a release shortly after with quite a few smaller eshop titles.

On the one hand it means their release schedules often look a bit barren but on the other you never know when you might have something new to play.

I can't help think this new Pikachu is riding on the success of BBC's Sherlock, especially given the music in the trailer. It was quite a hit in Japan leading to the 2009 British movie Nativity! to be localised in 2014 with the title "Martin Freeman's School of Music."

Some colleagues and friends of mine were on a panel at EGX Rezzed talking about Bullfrog and Lionhead.

More dreadful customer service from Sony. Why are they so shit at this sort of thing? They should take a leaf out of Apples book who 9 times in 10 will happily refund any accidental purchased and it doesn't seem to be doing their profits any harm. I'd take this further if I was the guy. They're literally making him pay for someone else's crime!

Couldn't care less about infinite warfare, since black ops 3 and advanced warfare and ghosts were all let downs in my eyes, but COD 4 remaster is the fucking best news. It looks like its exclusive to some legacy edition but I doubt it'd be exclusive forever.

I'll buy that twice just to play CoD4 remastered!

Looking at the different flags on the characters in the video, I wonder if we'll see a return of the different nations and play-styles that were in the early games?

Hoping for good things from it, but I doubt I'll have anything capable of playing it.

Games workshop have taken a scattershot approach to licensing stuff out lately, there's a lot of very poor quality things out there from them that's hiding the better stuff they've done. I think they need to take a more hands on approach to quality than they have been.

But relic are at least a studio you expect can be left to get on with it without much oversight.

I'll gladly put my faith in relic, they haven't done me wrong for the last 10-15 years and it's brilliant to see 40k come home to where it belongs. Nice to think there's also an impression that persona is in safe hands too after seeing this, though I might be pushed over the edge for Sega love already with the dark nights I've been spending locked away with Yakuza 5 :D

I'm not against the idea of a console port anyway, I always thought of relic as the twisted reflection of blizzard and both companies have been partial to a console leap once or twice already. Now to see which gameplay direction 3 goes, either way I loved it but I would be amazed to be surprised with their choice.

Is anyone else a bit disappointed that the Battlefield reveal leaked early? I was actually quite excited to find out what it was, but as always someone posted it on twitter hours before the developer could.

It's a bit sad sometimes, I do get something special from seeing something fresh for the first time.
Spoiler: show
Well since I spend so long on here writing for upwards of 10 mins only to delete the thing and reduce it to a single line I may as well spoiler tag it as a reminder to just how off-point I can get :)

This is the sort of shit I see everyday and it's a bore to be honest:

"Why THAT scene had to happen in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed"
"Why Drake should stay in his grave; an analysis of the ending of Uncharted 4"
"What Gordon Freemans torn rotator cuff tells us about Alex in Half-Life 3"

I can't blame people for being excited but there's a point I wish I could turn them off, or at least tell my given news website of choice that I'm just not interested. My biggest issue is when it comes to people I'd expect a review from that might factor into my buying decision, if they choose to spoil stuff for me I thankfully have the choice to go elsewhere hence the reason I barely check sites like Kotaku/Polygon. Sadly my main source of the last few years Eurogamer is deep into this transition to shit but at least I've got Gematsu in place to take over (thanks to the forum on that one).
