He was on a skateboard in the first game, but if I recall correctly the third game was never made as a Wonder Boy game and had the name slapped on it towards the end of development, or may have only been added for the Western release. I could be totally wrong with that though - I'm sure Ratso will know!
EDIT - nope, I totally made that up! It's a direct sequel to the second game where the titular character gets turned in to some sort of mecha-dragon!? I don't know, the story seems more bizarre than anything Kojima ever came up with haha.
The Batman remastered collection has been delayed, new release date TBD.

A Kickstarter for the System Shock Remaster has gone live alongside a PC demo/pre-alpha download.
I liked the demo. Will back the KS!

I also will be backing it after some high praise from this guy and encouragement to check out the demo.

Could be tempted at the right price but I only ever really enjoyed the second game. The first half of the first one was excellent but it didn't half drag on.

Same here. The first one was a Blockbuster rental, so I wasn't that motivated to see it through but in retrospect I've often though I should have done.
I'm kind of annoyed at people overreacting to the fact that you can't get any more than the 30 games already on it snidely saying "Who is this even for?" as if a product that isn't tailored to them it isn't tailored to anyone.
The long and short of it is that it's for people who want a quick and easy way to play a lot of those games they played as a kid. If you ask the average Joe for his top 3 games that he wants to play from that era, it has a pretty solid game list so there's a good chance they'll be on. Plus 27 other games. And for a lot of people that's enough.
If you want a wider selection, you can just get the NES controller and buy them on virtual console on the system you probably already own. It'll probably end up cheaper as you won't end up paying for games you don't care about.
I'm interested to see if there'll be the equivalent Famicom version. If so the game list will probably be a little different as the Japanese tastes of nostalgia are a little different. You'd probably see Urban Champion (why??), Ganbare Goemon, and maybe even a few new 3rd parties to include Spelunker or Dragon Quest.
It's also worth noting the name.
"Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System."
It could just be a one off, or possibly testing the waters, but it sure sounds like they plan to release other versions.

I think you have accurately summed up a large percentage of the internet in one short comment.
The response to this has been highly positive overall so far. I fully expect, nay demand, SNES and N64 versions to follow.

Although I already have at least 5 or 6 ways of playing NES games via emulation, I want one! A situation I imagine most of us are in, haha.

to me the first reaction was "thats so cool i have to get it" but after the first reaction cooled down I realised that I probably already own a way to play those games and I don't need to pay for the ones I'm never even going to try. Then I got to thinking who is this for and I thought if I had a son or a daughter this is what I would buy them. how cool a gift would it be to introduce them to gaming like this. so I'll probably get it and save it on my shelf for my kid that is not going to be born in like 5 years hopefully but by then this thing is probably really hard to find and or really expensive.
You could sit and construct an eloquent response detailing all the amazing things video games do for people, the imagination and story telling that inspires people, and a whole load of other reasons why playing video games is a Good Thing.
You could.
Or, you could just respond with a more succinct 'Shut. The fuck. Up'.
I can't believe they're still wheeling out this nonsense.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Oz has a funny relationship with games at the best of times, doesn't it? Plenty of stuff never gets released over there and plenty more gets banned and censored from what I understand. A curiously conservative society.
On the other hand, I do think we have a problem with the tired and potentially harmful perception of games as 'for kids', when many of the most popular titles should absolutely not be played by minors. COD and GTA are incredibly popular with the kids at our school who want to talk to me about them, but I can't rightfully or lawfully engage with a 12-year-old about gang banging and hos. I'm not trying to be flippant. In the same way I wouldn't want a young teenager to be watching Tarantino or I dunno, something more contemporary like Preacher, I think they have much greater access to unsuitable material because of the dated perception of games' audience.
I know that sounds somewhat conservative in itself, and I watched Aliens and Terminator when I was 12, but I don't think it particularly did me any good, and certainly desensitised me a little to on-screen violence, while disturbing me in equal measures.

Two new Sonic games were announced!
Only one of them confirmed for NX though, interestingly.

So I didnt watch the Sega Sonic conference that announced the 2 new games but Jim Sterling has put a supercut of it on his youtube channel and well...I think that conference sums up the state of the sonic IP very well:
