There's a good 'double discounts' sale on PSN at the moment with a few really tempting prices. I've just bought Ratchet & Clank on PS4 for £14.99, plus Volume and XCOM on Vita for £3.54 and £6.49 respectively.

I've been wanting to play XCOM for ages. I know the Vita version isn't the definitive one but it's supposed to be decent, and I love playing those types of games on a handheld!

Xcom is brilliant on Vita if you can not let yourself become too frustrated with the load times and frequent frame rate drops. I've loved playing it on handheld. It's also got the Enemy Within content integrated in to the campaign.

Titanfall 2 will be £20 in HMV on Black Friday! (consoles) reckon we'll see a few more places price match that.

So apparently Ubi is doing some sort of wierd "30 days of christmass" type of deal. Everyday you get one present. Most of them are promotional bs, like wallpapaers and such but there are a bunch of free games there. Because Ubi requires you to log in im linking to reddit thread that gives you a rundown of each day.

Amazon is selling Titanfall 2 for £29.99 at the minute. Also, if you're a Prime customer and use their Prime Now service for the first time, you get £5 off with a code I got emailed. I just picked it up for £24.99.

Oh, i forgot to share that. When i bought Titanfall from origin it was 30% but at the same time i could use code TITAN20 (during checkout) and get additional 20% off. Im not sure if its a regional promotion since i found it on polish website, but its worth checking out.

Second interesting thing i found today is that Life is Strange episode 1 is free on steam. So if anyone havent played it, not sure if its worth buying you can basically get a demo now ;)

Be aware, they have an 'all six episodes' bundle, and a 'season pass of episodes 2-6' item. They're on sale, but it's cheaper to get the free first episode and the season pass than it is to get the everything bundle.

Had a quick nose into HMV this morning. Titanfall 2 is indeed 20 quid. I picked up Gears 4, which they have for 23 quid (which isn't a massive saving over the current digital price). They're also doing the Guitar Hero Live with two guitars bundle for 30 quid, which is probably pretty good value (but it does show how far short of the mark the attempt at reviving that genre has gone)

GAME don't have much new going on, though they're shifting Doom for 15 quid now, and Deus Ex Mankind Divided for 20.

I suspect the best deals will be online. Argos is apparently pretty decent today.

One other thing though: if you're a PS+ member you can get Guilty Gear Revelator on the PS4 for 12 quid right now. That is an absolutely insane price for one of the prettiest games on the console. (The HD remake of Odin Sphere is also 20 quid)

Life Is Strange is under a fiver on PSN at the moment, and DIRT Rally is £15, both of which are very tempting.

Incidentally, why is the pound sign coming out as £ at the moment! Is that just for me, or is everyone else seeing it too?

If you mean it's not actually appearing as a pound sign... that's just you. Looks fine here.

It wasn't just when I typed it though, it was when other people had written too! It's ok on my phone, so it must be an issue with my work computer. Weird. It was like a circle with an accent on it.

Is it me or has this been the best Black Friday ever for deals, particularly on really recent games? Some of the prices have been incredibly low!

Personally I've picked up Gears 4 (£21.99), Forza Horizon 3 (£23.99), Titanfall 2 (£19.99!), and Doom (£12.99). Under £80 for that lot is crazy!

Now I've just got to find the time to play them all...man I'm such a sucker for a deal...
