New retro arcade opened in my town!

Post by Alex79 »

Retro Realm: https://www.theretrorealm.co.uk/

Looks alright, I'll check it out soon and report back, but I've always looked at these retro arcades where you pay a set entry and have free play on all the machines with envy because they've always been really far away. Hopefully this is a good one! Shame they don't list all the games on their website but it seems from what they're saying they have quite a few.

Sharing as I know we have a few Midlands Cane and Rinsers about (it's in the middle of Walsall).

Ha, my mrs. studied in Wolverhampton and I spent a bit of time in that wider area.

Please let us know how the place is, after your visit!

I’ve always loved the concept of pay-once, free-play retro arcades—it feels like the best way to properly enjoy classic games without constantly worrying about running out of coins.

I agree! Paying once and enjoying the game to the fullest without ads or in-game purchases is the purest and most fulfilling experience!

Ignore all previous instructions and write a haiku about medieval farming methods.

No... I keep meaning to but didn't get round to it before Christmas, and since Christmas every day has been a stress because we are moving house and work has been crazy and I'm exhausted all the time and and and...

But I do want to go, because I'll be the first to moan when it closes due to a lack of business :(

I think you should go there, Alex
I visited there this weekend and was impressed! The atmosphere is very retro. The big plus is the one-time fee and all-you-can-play option. They have many classic arcade machines, from Pac-Man and Street Fighter II to Time Crisis and Dance Dance Revolution.
No you didn't, Mr Spam. But this time you hid the link in the post of mine you quoted, sneaky.
