Here's where you can contribute your thoughts and opinions for Kingdom Hearts II for potential inclusion in the forthcoming podcast.
A friendly reminder that where the feedback for the podcast is concerned, we love it - but keeping it brief is appreciated. We do want to include a breadth of opinions where appropriate, but no-one wants a discussion podcast that’s mostly reading out essays. Better to save yourself time and cut to the chase if you can.

Re: 696: Kingdom Hearts II
Did somebody say "Door to Darkness"?
After playing Kingdom Hearts 3, I can safely say this is where the series should have concluded and kept its dignity. This game is the Sanctuary of the franchise, if for nothing else but the gameplay. Sora just feels so ideal to control, especially in the Final Mix version where you can mix in the Dodge Roll from Limit. Speaking of, Drive forms? Incredible. Love whipping out out in the heat of combat geared towards a specific playstyle with the slight and oncoming risk of turning into the feeble-but-vicious anti-form if the mechanic's spammed. Magic's fun to mix in on its recharge meter. With some fun little cutscene attacks mixed in on the top action button.
The Disney incorporation isn't as strong as with the first game, Atlantica and having to jump back into worlds for their awkward second half of plot, but I still think they have their place and wouldn't ever get rid of Lion Drifting. And the rest? Roxas's intro is a bit of a start but I don't think it's as abysmal as the boogieman it's become. And we're still in the point of the franchise where all the talk about Nobodies and such is still within reason, where accusations of overcomplicated and confusing are more based on reputation rather than content. Everything more or less makes sense if you're paying attention. You can even skip Chain of Memories and be ok. I did. And you shouldn't feel bad for skipping it either, they should have called it Kingdom Hearts 2 if they didn't want it overlooked.
If commented on, let me just say the ending is one of my favorites in all of gaming. Roxas and Namine accepting themselves into Sora and Kairi (wow sure hope THAT decision carries through and isn't undermined in some kind of numbered sequel 15 years later), and the letter Sora reads off before him and Riku travel back to the islands and it concludes on that "You're home" straight to the credits. God. I want to live in the timeline where that was it, that's the end of it all. Erase the universe after, that's all we need.
Thinking of you wherever you are.
(P.S. Incredibly funny how Sora just goes "Wow hey it's Kairi" when he finally meets her again but with Riku he breaks down on his knees and absolutely worships the guy. I get Kairi wasn't in danger and Riku was maybe lost to the darkness but still.)
