Anyone else watching this? I missed the first season but I'm completely hooked on this one.
I've played a fair few games of Mafia/Werewolf/Secret Hitler over the years so this is like crack to me!
It's got a few crappy reality TV trappings (multiple replays, strangers telling people they love them after a day or two together etc) but the bulk of it is like one big game of Mafia where you know everyone's roles and get to watch some amazing group dynamics and behaviour.
If you're a board game/social deduction game fan it's an absolute must.
Finished Poker Face last night, it was consistently great throughout its 10 episodes. Now I'm moving onto The Bear and Culprits, both on Disney plus but will also be making time each week for the new series of True Detective which has been getting stellar reviews.

The first episode of True Detective: Night Country is some proper top-tier quality TV, looking forward to the rest of it.
Finally watched Goodfellas. I have finally found a gangster film I enjoyed. I have watched a few classics including The Godfather and The Irishman and they did nothing for me, despite acknowledging why people love them, so with this in mind I wasn't expecting to like Goodfellas as much as other people too, but I was wrong and ended up really enjoying it.

The book (called Wiseguy) it's based on is good too - it's a true story (although embellished for entertainment, I'm sure). Have you seen Donnie Brasco yet? That's another good one (also based on a true story - again, the book is excellent).

Added it to my Goodreads list. I haven't seen Donnie Brasco no
Season six of Netflix's Drive To Survive coming out 23rd Feb. Excellent! Despite not actually enjoying F1 I found this series to be really compelling viewing. Netflix do a great job of creating drama and storylines with what happens across the race season.

What with Masters Of The Air coming soon I started re-watching Band Of Brothers on Blu-ray. It sounds exceptional with the PS5 3D Pulse headset. I'm not sure there's ever been a better WW2 series or film, it really is an incredible piece of work.
Planning on watching The Pacific after as despite owning it on Blu-ray since it came out I've never got round to watching it.

Very much looking forward to Masters Of The Air!
Have you been watching this? Three episodes and so far it's captivating stuff with a production quality that's second to none. Some of the the aerial sequences have been some of the most intense, gut-wrenching stuff I've watched in a while.
I tell you, between this and True Detective Night Country, television has really hit the ground running in 2024!

Not yet because I don't have Apple+ but I'm going to wait till it's all out and then subscribe for a month to watch it all. Glad to hear it's good though!

I started it on Saturday and have watched the first 2 episodes. Yeah it's really good stuff, totally agree on the aerial sequences which are up there with Top Gun Maverick. This and True Detective: Night country are my 2 TV series I've been watching this year (released in this year anyway) and yeah, it's been a great start to the year.
Finally got around to watching 'Winning Time' season 2 and really enjoyed it. Was absolutely livid to find it has been cancelled, so we will never see a season 3. Yes, its accuracy is questionable beyond belief but it is massively entertaining and I like it's presentation style.
'Master of the Air', finally dropped and also been enjoying this. Wasn't sure at first but now fully immersed within this. The production values are as you would expect very good.
The Iron Claw
Really good. I didn’t really know much about the family it’s based on at all but it didn’t really matter. Such a tragic story. All the actors on on top form, I struggle to say anyone was the best. Had a really beautiful moment in it I won’t spoil. Reminded me a lot of Foxcatcher. 4/5
