I use AA rechargeable batteries with a recharge unit. Not as fun as a dedicated xbox unit but chucking aa batteries in the pad has never been easier

I also leave a USB cable plugged into my TV and whenever little one is watching tv or I'm on another console I leave a pad charging on the side.

Cool news from Microsoft, one first party exclusive per quarter and a streaming device being worked on. I wonder if they mean handheld or a small box under the TV

Hey, so say I had an Xbox Series X and put the game discs of, for example, Red Dead Redemption or Fable 2 in the machine, would the console then download the enhanced versions of the games, or do you need to re-buy the digital versions of the game to get all the benefits? Thanks :)

I think however you install the games the 'One X' enhancements will be available by default. It's not possible to run the vanilla versions on One X or Series X afaik.

You certainly don't need to buy anything again.

Looks interesting, and as a coop RPG my wife and I will certainly be checking it out.
Sorry for the ancient bump, but did you guys ever play Ashen? Tempted by the Switch version for £11 at the moment.

I got an Xbox.

Add me!

Looking forward to setting it up later, think I'm going to download Forza Horizon 4 first, and I thought I'd play through the Gears Of War games since they're quite short and I've only ever played the first one (or maybe first two).

Any other hot Gamepass recommendations? I've not played on an Xbox since 360, so missed the entire last gen.

EDIT: Oh yeah, definitely downloading Hades.

Rare Replay has some classics in there, if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm really fond of Tetris Effect Connected. A great game to play in short bursts to finish off a session playing something else.

Thanks, downloaded a bunch and filled the SSD already! Think I'm going to have to get some sort of external drive for the non-Series enhanced games, I'll have a look at what's recommended.

It was about 11pm last night by the time I actually got to play anything, and played Hades for a couple of hours. And again this morning on remote play to my phone (which worked great).

I know everyone has been going on about Hades for ages, and I've not been a huge fan of the developers previous games, but my word, Hades is pretty good isn't it...

Also downloaded Teris Effect, Flight Sim, Yakuza 3, Forza Horizon 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Gears Of War Remastered and, erm, Fight Night Champion, because I'm never not going to play Fight Night Champion.

I wanted to replay the first Red Dead Redemption; it's £25 on the official Xbox store, but if I bought this key for £18.99 could I just redeem it on my Xbox and it would work fine?

Thanks :)

Does anyone else's Series S get really hot from the black circular vent on the top? It's the warmest console I've ever had, surprisingly hot to be honest. Wondering if it's meant to be..?

HaloFandango wrote: September 10th, 2020, 1:19 am Xbox Series X is also confirmed to be £449 in the UK.

I've only recently ever built PCs in Japan, so only really know the price in yen, but I feel like I would struggle to build a decent PC with the same specs as the Xbox Series X for £449. To me, it sounds like a fair price, but what does everyone here think?

Plus for anyone who can't stump up £449 (that is a lot of money, especially in the current covid times), Microsoft has the Xbox All Access program.
